Okay, I solved the problem. :)
    I entered:
    "C:SetGlobal("LioraEncounter","GLOBAL",21600)"
    The encounter then occurred properly.

So I had to remove "Timer" and everything worked fine.

Also: I found the ranger for the “bear” quest, no problem, but I could not find the gryphon feather after talking to every merchant I could find in the Water Gardens area (including the one from Sigil who appears only at night). But that looks like a very minor quest, so no worries.

Thanks again for your work on this enjoyable mod!

OK, I eventually did encounter the merchant ("Jasper Thorndragon"). :)
He doesn't have a "shop" like most BG2 merchants but instead only sells items via dialogue, and only accepts platinum pieces. Also, he only occasionally appears in the district. So that is probably why I missed the quill earlier.

    Unfortunately, I've encountered a new problem involving Shar-Teel. :|

She left the party to go on a mission to Murann on day 107. When she left she said that she would be back in a fortnight (2 weeks). However, it is now day 140 and she has yet to return.

I keep resting, travelling around, and nothing happens.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Edited to add: I'm still in Chapter 3. My "SharteelRomanceTalk" variable is 14.

I thought that I would mention that I've abandoned my game using the Shar-Teel romance. The romance is bugged and currently unplayable. In addition to the problem involving an encounter (with "Liora") not triggering (mentioned earlier in this thread), when Shar-Teel leaves to go on her "mission" she never returns afterwards (as noted in my previous post) -- so you lose not only the romance but also a companion.

I mention this to warn others about this component of the mod. It's probably wise to avoid it for now.

On a more positive note, I will say that the "Water Gardens" district is a lot of fun and I will include it in my future games.

I like the idea of the Water Gardens a lot; I think I suggested to make the fountain larger and more impressive.

It's a nice idea overall - e. g. to have nobles and other fancypants semi-fake royals have naughty parties and what not, isolated away from beggars, pirates and others there. Some of the quests are a little bit confusing; I wasn't able to solve all of the quests, but as an area it's pretty neat. I don't remember whether Shar-Teel was bugged or not - what could help is if there would be some heroic playtester (who is also organised; I am not very organised, my gameplay is very chaotic usually) who could go through all the quests and report which ones work and which ones.

I'll look into this and try to fix it in the next version. Thanks!

I sincerely apologize for the bugs that have occurred in S-T romance, Thrasymachus. At the time, I was responsible for testing the romance, but I only checked 2/3 of it 🤦🏻‍♂️I did notice your bug message, but I was unable to reply since the Internet is now significantly restricted in Russia, which prevented me from accessing the Beamdog forum earlier.

The bug that you described is solved promptly as follows (if that romance is still relevant to you): in any of the locations files listed below, AR0020 AR0300 AR0400 AR0500 AR0700 AR0800 AR0900 AR1000 L#ND01 L#NI01, you need to delete the entire line !Exists("7XSHAR"). I personally verified this solution, and the Shar-Teel comes back afterward.

Thanks for the response. I've installed a new game but I'll keep this in mind for a future run. At least these bugs will be fixed for future players. :)

    The mod has been updated!
    New version - 15.5!
    Changelog:

    -Added Chinese translation by MephistoSatanDevil
-The Russian translation has been slightly improved
-Fixed bugs in the romance with Shar-Teel
-Completing the Troll Chef quest in the Water Gardens will now award experience. Additionally, the journal entry for this quest has been made more detailed.
-Merchant Amber in Water Gardens will no longer sell infinitely rare scrolls, which was unbalancing the game.
-The merchant Rosco («Kagain» component) will no longer infinitely sell the "Squirrel Change" scroll.
-The Spider Master (a tournament fighter, the "Shar-Teel" component) now has his equipment corrected (adamantine items have been replaced with regular ones, since adamantine items could not be used outside of the Underdark)
-Tanna's cre-file at the Copper Coronet Fighting Pits (component "Shar-Teel") has been adjusted to improve game balance. Killing her will no longer award excessive experience, and the rare Varscona Blade can no longer be stolen from her.
-The parameters of the new item from the Shar-Teel romance have been corrected (previously it was impossible to equip it)
-The method for installing translation files has been changed (all files must now be in UTF-8 encoding)

It's cool that Water Garden is like a mini-universe in its own right.

    Hi.

Are any of these companions eet compatible in the true sense? (Use ability tome in bg1 - when you meet npc in bg2 he will remember that he read the time and still have the changed stats, exp, learned spells, learned proficiencies etc)
    Greetings

    No.

I’ve restored Shar‑Teel’s (BG1NPCSoA) voice pack to its native state after the mod author severely compromised the sound quality. To apply: extract all 35 files to your ‘override’ folder. Compatible with ongoing playthroughs — no need to start a new game. This update will most likely be incorporated into the mod in its next version.

The mod does not feature any romance with Alora, nor is there any romantic involvement between her and Edwin. However, their strong and enduring friendship is preserved (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) ‹𝟹 . Smiling Imp either ignored their previous relationship entirely or mishandled it, forcing me to step in and carefully resolve the bitter quarrel between Alora and Edwin without disrupting the Imp’s narrative. This correction has been successfully implemented, and in the end, the sweet-hearted hobbit and the Thayan wizard reconcile. So, despite their bitter discord scripted by the mod, their bond not only survived but grew stronger. And of course, Edwin will also protect Alora from any lustful advances from Korgan. Additionally, it's probably worth mentioning that two new epilogues have been made for Alora, one of which is directly dependent on Edwin's presence in the party.

It's the classy clothes combined with a sexy moustache and saying very evil things but with an extremely seductive voice - girls just can not resist Edwin. Though the above Edwin is probably not creepy enough. Thank goodness in one of Lava's quests there is a teddy bear to be found/purchased - Edwin secretly keeps that teddy bear in his backpack. Can only wear it when the rest of the party is not looking ...
