Yet again another amazing peice of my childhood is coming back to life, I've always been a huge fan of these types of games, ever since I've first played Planescape: Torment when I was younger. I can't wait to go back to playing again, even though I have the original with the expansion that I can play. =P
I look forward to seeing what you guys do to one of my favorite RPGs, I hope to see my new favorite subclass' the Blackguard in my adventures through Icewind Dale.
For people wondering, this #extralife thing is part of an effort to raise money for a hospital that treats cancer patients, so it is for a very good cause. If I have time I'll probably participate (which I assume is watching and donating). Imagine... playing videogames and helping people. Ranger and hamsters everywhere... rejoice!
Hmm... The Escapist is saying that there are ten days of Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition videos with Mark Meer coming. First was released today. Last one would come out on October 30th. So if we know that it releases AFTER October 25th, and they have a natural countdown of videos coming, I would guess that they intend to release on October 31st.

Trent, Cam, and Phil are at WotC today and tomorrow, and Scott's got his hands full crossing T's and dotting I's on IWDEE, some patch-related things, and if that ever finishes Adventure Y's right there waiting for him.
So basically Beamdog's entire upper management is pretty distracted at the moment. I believe the hope was that Alveus' HOW TO AVOID DYING HORRIBLY IN ICEWIND DALE: ENHANCED EDITION lectures would help get the word out.
Thanks to all the devs and beta testers for all your hard work. Have been playing the soundtrack to get pumped up! Main theme is great, and Kuldahar theme was my wake up alarm for quite some time. First playthrough on core, then Insane + HoF...... cannot wait!
I find it kind of weird they have not updated icewinddale.com. Wouldn't you want all the world to know your game is releasing in 6 days!? The 'latest news' section is still the announcement from august 30th.
