    @Jaseace‌ And don't use TextEdit, it can mess up the ini file something fierce. TextWrangler is free, won't break stuff, and is available in the MAS.

    When you're running the game, press control+space.

    Then C:CreateItem("blah") or C:SetCurrentXP("number")

    Et cetera. You only need C:Command not CLUAConsole:Command.

    EDIT: Oh, and if you press control+8 when you're creating your character's stats, you'll get all 18s.

    @Jaseace‌ Did you use TextEdit when editing the file?

    Also: there should be tabs (not spaces) separating the three parts of the ini line, and the line needs a comma at the end, unless it's the last one before the closing bracket of the ini file );

    Had to delete the game and re-install.
    I do use textedit, yes, never had issues with it, but will look at the other.

    @Jaseace‌ I don't think removing/reinstalling the game gets rid of the ini file, which TextEdit has a habit of badly breaking. Delete the baldur.ini file and try running the game again.

    I think I remember seeing someone mention this before when they changed the .ini files on a Mac.
    If I remember correctly, you have to delete the .ini file (which doesn't get deleted when you uninstall) and repair the game (or install it again).

    I should have mentioned this at the time, but I figured since you were asking, you already knew.
    But always save a clean copy of any file you change in the game somewhere (I use a folder on my Desktop called "Game Back Ups" ), so if it messes up your game, you can just delete the corrupted version and copy/paste the clean copy in the correct spot.

    @Jaseace being very specific in adding space, commas etc. in baldur.ini has been mentioned, but I'd like to do so again. And use as basic a text editor as you can find. When in doubt, use a hex editor.

    Hi guys.
    Does the ranger class get any additional priest spells with a high score in Wisdom?
    Thanks :)
  • ShikaoShikao Member Posts: 376
    No. Here you have extract from manual:
    Note: Only Clerics and Druids receive bonus spells per day from a high Wisdom score;
    Paladins and Rangers do not.

    Ok first question now that I have a party questing in Easthaven.

    1) Both my Fighter/thief & Fighter/druid (multi) have 4 weapon slots but only 2 work - feature or bug?

    Thats normal, both classes can only get 2 slots.
    rangers/paladins get 3 and single class fighters get all 4.

    Ahhh yes that is the case isn't it - the fact that all four showed up but only two worked confused me (doesn't take much LOL)

    Thx

    hey guys, I haven't played this in forever, but does this game have weapons that break in it?

    @FalkonSwiftblade‌

    The Iron Crisis has not touched the Spine of the World. Your weapons can't break in IWDEE.

    I often wondered why weapons made of ice do not melt in Ilmadia's Forge.

    Probably for the same reason body heat from your hand doesn't melt it, and why it doesn't shatter on the first whack against an enemy. ;)

    I'm trying to change (or get rid of) the default characters actually. It gets pretty tedious to delete them every time your restartitis acts up.

    Indeed - I mean you have to click on every one of them - why that's six clicks of the mouse I'm a busy guy that could take 10% of a minute - lifes too short for that sort of nonsense I mean seriously what were they thinking! (insert rolling eyes here) LOL

    But it helps curb the urge to restart! This could develop into an new feature that alleviates the symptoms of restartitis for hundreds of players (probably not but one can always hope).
