I just banned a spambot that was basically advertising murder for hire. Granted, the method of murder described was some kinda "death spell" so I don't think it would actually work, but it was still kinda creepy seeing that...
Well, it was caught by the spam filter and I already banned it, but I did copy the text before doing so, so here we go...

Hmmm ... I would probably have to change the alignment to CE or CN. Also, I don't think I'd make it out of Candlekeep alive - Gorion tends to kill Charnames who attack Tethoril after getting Firebead's scroll because that was obviously what Firebead wanted.
There is a certain thread on this forum that seems to be some some kind of spambot meeting place. To date I have identified and banned THREE spambots that have posted in it. These spambots have all been quite sneaky and I am practically convinced that the OP of the thread is a spambot as well. I think, however, that I may leave the thread where it is as a sort of spambot trap since they like to post in it so much...
Note that the comments made by the three spambots are no longer visible since they have been banned and their content purged.
@ThacoBell It was left there mainly because we couldn't decide if it was really a spambot or not and then we forgot about it as other things came up. I am still not 100% sure it is a spambot, but for now I am hoping it will serve as a decent trap.

I once got a mail from an assassin sent to kill me. He had however observed that I was a kind and noble soul and had decided that I deserved to live. Instead the repentant assassin was willing to reveal the identity of whoever wanted me dead (for a large sum of money).
What a crappy assassin. I'm sure Dr. Ogbefun would do better.

This actually reminded me of The Pale Horse novel by Agatha Christie, where a witch coven advertises its services to get rid of any person with a magic spell. It doesn't quite compare to the likes of Orient Express, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd or Ten Little Niggers classics, nor does it feature any of the main characters from her other works, but is still a solid Agatha Christie novel.
