Childofbhaal for a name? Maybe I should just use my real name, Brandon. I just thought it would be boring. Also I tried to just not make myself more special by being a bhaalspawn
I just looked up doppelgangers on the fr wiki to know them a bit better. It could definitely make for a very unique thief character and provide a way to blend in. Maybe I could have actually taken the life of a bhaalspawn, and now everybody seems to think I am one. So I guess it could be a faked charname and provide a way to cover him while he isn't really in the group, though I don't know if u have plans for the seemingly non existent charname. I don't know if u are playing for real with the party, but a doppelganger wouldn't be able to shapeshift in game so I could just have a normal form in game and roleplay in here.
Also, what is a half doppelganger like in appearance? Sounded interesting when it was mentioned in the wiki.
@ChildofBhaal599 - we were discussing a possible multiplayer. There are some obstacles we would need to overcome. (Half of us seems to be from Europe and the other half from US - time schedule obstacles, technical difficulties of running a multiplayer game thru the internet.)
...but if we ever get to actually do it, I'd be all in.

Yeah, damned time zones < it really sucks on those days when nothing is coming up tomorrow so I stay up unreasonably late and make a friend in multiplayer from the other side of the world. I am from the east coast personally so it wouldn't be too hard getting with someone from, say, Britain. But further east there would be trouble. If it had happened I don't even have a mic, but perhaps my Xbox mic would work on the computer. I recently got into pc and am saving to get a desktop (I have a laptop, but that isn't bad for baldurs gate) in fact my laptop is quite powerful and runs skyrim at high setting (no hd texture) that is a lot to say for a laptop.
...I have had exclusively laptops for last ~ 8 years. I am as well an IT guy and it's much easier to run around with a laptop than with a desktop PC. They are a bit more expensive to have the same power as a desktop. However BGEE does not need a powerful notebook, you can almost run it on a Texas Instruments calculator. (One that does not have an Intel integrated VGA)
...but let's not de-rail this thread. I am still pinned to a tree, while @KidCarnival is making up his mind on how should @Anduin raise our newest member. (Super-powered evil side!)

We use forum names for the characters, so we can @tag and it's easier to see who posted. I tried to stick to Mushroom That Says Ni for @OneAngryMushroom for the Monty Python reference, but it looks weird in the posting flow if I use that name, then have to use forum name to tag at least once. You can refer to yourself as something else in roleplay though, same as we use "Edwin Stormborn (endless list of titles)" for Eudaemonium - we just assume that's how we address each other in game, even if it's @forumname in postings.
For doppelganger, there are regular ones and greater doppelgangers available in EEKeeper. I haven't seen a half doppelganger there, but both fit through doors and have normal walking speed (I think/hope) - either works for me. You can also shapeshift in roleplay. Our run follows neither BG nor PnP logic. XD
Lol I mentioned the half because I wondered what it looks like. Yeah I know there isn't one in BG I understand now why u want to use my forum name also. As a doppelganger u could use that model or put me in as a normal race and I would just be in a shapeshifted form. Both would work. My greed should also make the poison quest entertaining
Yeah, we are all legal stats, classes, races, it's just a different appearance. For a thief, I suggest to make an elf, appearance doppelganger, profs in Short Sword (or Dagger) and Crossbow, if that's ok.
well...this might come as a shock, but I believe, that @KidCarnival is secretly being controlled by @Samus. She only played her disappearance and is still using our beholder to confirm that story, but a picture I had speedpainted by a drunken fairy, called Toby, proves otherwise. Supposedly, it happened recently in Friendly Arm Inn...
