    @CrevsDaak‌ Well, it works, and it leaves no statues behind for others to turn back to flesh. ;-)

    (There's still the risk of somebody casting Freedom but that is a 9th level spell and scrolls are few and far between...).

    I had a chaotic crazy wizard in a tabletop game once... Exploded a tavern with a fireball after some sailors tried to abuse a female member of the party.... I had to run away from the city with half the guards and a few dozen drunken sailors that didn't like my redecorating skills chasing me :)
