^ I'm pretty sure it's real, I'm sorry to say. Though I always thought the variable was to do with Aerie (I swear to god that's not meant to be a crack at her, I genuinely remember reading it was to do with her romance).
Here's more hidden stuff: in Icewind Dale II, looking at the dialogues for characters with VAs in Infinity Explorer reveals directions for the voice actors (eg. "angry, with a hint of resentment", plus pronunciation guides). I don't think you can view this with any other IE games though.
There is a spell called "Plant Growth" (spin688.spl) that basically acts as a more powerful version of Entangle (it gives -10 to saving throws against it).

That spell is actually used against your party by the black dragon Nizidramanii'yt in Suldanessellar, the green dragon Fll'Yissetat (who is forced to guard Abazigal's lair) and the nameless green dragon you have to fight if you want to unseal Demogorgon's prison chamber.
Besides game balance reasons and his status as a high level mage, one other possible reason why you can't steal from Halbazzar Drin (the sorcerous sundries owner) is that the cities grand dukes have arranged to have a discreet watch placed over his business to protect against thieves (among other things). This is discussed on page 218 of Volo's Guide to the Sword Coast.
Did you know that the Flaming Fists' "Rise and shine, citizen" phrase might or might not be based in The Bears' 1988 album by the name of "Rise and Shine"?

I don't know. "Rise and Shine" is an Americanism that has be used by generations of camp counselors and drill instructors. I certainly got it in 4H and Boy Scout camp in the 60's. ;-)
Having tentacles stuck in your face doesn't make you automatically evil! Those fixed monster alignments are better taken with a grain of salt. For we already saw an Lawful Neutral Succubus for that matter.

"Rise and shine" has certainly been used for generations by that sadistic alien race known as 'Army Sergeants' (meaning to get up and start polishing anything that doesn't move).

Can we make it available for Druids?
I think BG2 Tweak Pack's component "Add Save Penalties for Spells Cast by High-Level Casters" does something like this already.

Drill Sergeants in the Marines and Military Training Instructors in the Air Force built on this tradition and added a follow-up action that became the basis for the now popular "flipping tables" trope... though they called it "flipping racks/cots" (respectively).
Fresh from the feminism trope discussion, did you know every playable female NPC in the orginal BG2 needed to be rescued in the game:
Imoen: From spellhold Jaheira: From the attacking bandits Mazzy: From the shade lord Nalia: From her betrothed Aerie: From Kalah Viconia: From the fanatics looking to burn her.

Baldur's Gate 1 has a much higher ratio of strong women vs. damsels in distress
Damsels in Distress: Dynaheir -- must be rescued from the gnolls. Viconia -- although, unlike in BG2, she's not yet been caught, so her situation isn't quite as dire. Branwen -- must be rescued from eternal petrification. Skie -- who doesn't actually require any rescuing and is probably better off where she is.
Strong women who can take care of themselves (at least throughout BG1 anyway): Imoen Jaheira Faldorn Shar-Teel Alora Safana -- well, she does ask for the help of a man in obtaining some treasure, but she's not exactly in distress and her life certainly isn't on the line.

They split-up, however... I believe they became too depressed to play on stages.
Nice chicks, though...

So, in IWD you can't go by our Jim too:)
Hrothgar (a character who invites the party for an investigation in the very beginning) is voiced over by Jim.
Arundel (an Archdruid, one of the most important characters for IWD story) is also voiced over by Jim.
For Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 its
CLUAConsole:
(BGEE/BG2EE lets you shorten it to just C: )
For Icewind Dale (non HoW) its
CHEATERSDOPROSPER:
and for HoW its
GETYOURCHEATON:
If you use "CHEATERSDOPROSPER" or CLUAConsole with Heart of Winter installed you get the line "Nice Try Cheater!" and the code won't work.
Gord Marriott plays the pure evil toad demon Ya Zhen. "You know I'm evil and want to kill everything. *I* know I'm evil and want to kill everything."
Did you know that in an animal cage, at Waukeen's Promenade, there is a Moose and a Squirrel inside ?
Could that be a reference to The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show ?
