@Jaheiras_Witness but the game doesn't roll stats like that. You have a far higher probability of rolling a 108 in Baldur's Gate than in real life with 3d6.
-First the game rolls 3d6 for every stats.
-if the sum of your stats is below 75, the game rolls again.
-if one of your stat is below the minimum for your race, the game rerolls.
-if one of your stat is below the minimum for your class, the game rerolls again.
So everytime you click reroll, the game can instantly roll dozens of times without you noticing and only stop when all the criteria listed above are respected.
And this is another reason why I think dualclass are overrated, Human have no minimum and a core class like Fighter has a minimum of 9 only in his main attribute (Strength in this case). You are basically rolling the same way that in PnP, while if you roll a Paladin, a Ranger/Cleric, a F/M/T, a Dwarven Defender or a non-human Shadowdancer, you will have amazing stats.
Yes, I am aware of that, which is why I said if you rolled organically using 3d6!
Btw, even with the above taken into account, the odds would still be astronomically high (in the billions at least). Which is why I guess, with all the BG players in the world for all this time, I am not aware of anyone who has legitimately claimed to have rolled 108.
Did you know that the gauntlets of Aln Zekk from Raasad's quest work with shapeshifters? Turn into a werewolf and use an item designed for monks. It turns out that claws and fists are pretty similar.
I roll 108 with 18/00 str all the time! I am somewhat superstitious though, because I often hold my fingers on the ctrl key and the 8 key for good luck.
One of my favourite little aspects of Siege is Entar Silvershield's voice. Most people hearing it for the first time probably go...wait...why does a grand duke have a french accent?
Only the thing is in the original games Grand Duke Silvershield never actually makes an appearance (you can make him appear if you install Unfinished Business). His content was cut. But the voice actor bioware used actually used a french accent. Its a nice little nod to the original game that a lot of people won't even know about
Kivan leaves like 20 days after you talk to him if you don't do bandit camp. I didn't know that haha, always grabbed him later on in the game before the bandit camp.
Ive actually started b lining to his crazy archer butt every play now right after Gorion start/cutscene. I never knew he did that haha. I think the time limit depends on which chapter your on? or something like that.
Its always straight to him, ajantis, jah and kah, and then Neira(spl? lol ) So my groups usually full before I hit nashkel now. Before it was minsk/witch instead of Neira and Ajantis.
Did you know that a Blackguard or Assassin can use their poison weapon ability with arrows of detonation and everyone in the blast radius is effected by it?
Did you know you can spam fireballs into the fog of war on difficult enemies (like Davaeorn) to significantly damage them to make the battle easier (pretty sure EVERYONE knows that one)?
If you get the Bard stronghold, the director who helps you set up the play is called Higgold. I suspect this name is inspired by professor Higgins in George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion" (the story also known as "My Fair Lady").
I am seriously thinking of playing a Blade, although...
Did you know that a Fighter/Mage can do anything a Blade can do, but only a thousand times better?
...I know, it's sad. Blades are charming but mechanically they underwhelm - if you could use improved haste with spin it might be better. Good starting class for new players though. Fast leveling. Full of flavor.
If someone, somewhere in the world, in all the time since the original BG was released, rolled 108, he or she probably clicked past it.
Did you know that the chances of rolling a 108 are so high, that is everyone on Earth started rolling right now, one roll a second, it would take almost 5 hours before it was statistically probable?

I can think of two things a Blade can do better than a Fighter/Mage: Dispel/Remove Magic, and blasting with damage spells. That fast leveling caster level can make for some potent skull traps, and can actually make it remotely plausible that you'll be able to strip some buffs from enemies in BG2.
Sometimes Chromatic Orb in IWD:EE will simply fail to affect its target--it will not even display a successful saving throw. It will just show the visual effect. The Emotion spell is even more likely to fail: up to 90% of the time, enemies within the area of effect will not even have to make a saving throw to avoid its effects.
IWD:EE Heart of Fury mode, in addition to enemy HP and level bonuses, also grants enemies +5 to all their saving throws.
In IWD:EE, checking the boxes to remove difficulty-based damage and XP increases will in fact work in Heart of Fury mode. HoF monsters will still give an extra 1000 XP each, but the XP will not be doubled afterwards.

If only you could specialize and use improved haste with spin. Just those two things. I would probably say a Blade is better than a Fighter/Mage at that point.
But in fairness - I've not actually gone through the saga with a Blade. But I have over 1500 hours logged so I understand the mechanics of the game enough to take one look at the class and see where it falls short.
1. Thief THAC0 and no specialization. Tensor's Transformation helps a little but again, no specializaion. 2. No level 7, 8, or 9 spells. That means no project image. No horrid wilting. No contingencies, triggers or sequencers. No simulacrum. The best summons? Gone. 3. Lower HP. No helmet until UAI. His best feature, Offensive Spin, is worthless without improved haste. Fighter/Mages get greater whirlwind.
Yes, spells like remove magic, shocking grasp (underrated), flame arrow in minor sequencer will be tremendous. Is it enough to overcome the downsides? I will play one and see. But I doubt it.
Fighter/Mages are incredibly powerful.
Edit: I forgot, Flame Arrow is level 3 - not level 2. So much for that. I may not play a Blade after all.
Okay - you guys talked me into it. I'm a playing a Blade. I just rolled him up and will run through the saga after I finish my current run. No greater whirlwind or high level spells but it's not just about power - it's about having fun and the class does sound like quite a bit of fun. I'll let you guys know how it went sometime.
Oh, and did you know that don't need high intelligence at all on a bard/mage? You can quaff a potion and learn a higher level spell than you normally could - and as many as your little ole heart desires. Wizards don't need no 18 intelligence. Just hoard genius pots and scribe in bunches. If it's been fixed then excusez moi for trying to ruin your mage.
@Stormvessel , a fighter will always fight better than a bard and a mage will always cast more spells than a bard. The fun of playing a bard is the fact that your character is a mix of everything and master of nothing.

that would be a good place to put an Achievement.
I wouldn't like to be reminded of doing something like that
I'd eekeeper a character with that roll to avoid insanity.
before I actually knew about the show I was almost nearly thinking it was bg related. oh the false hopes.

An example of his original lines is attached.
And since traps do party-friendly area-effect damage, they work especially well against IWD:EE's many large groups of lowly grunts.

Now that's something I would have wanted to see happening!
I never bard lol

UPD: nvm, already mentioned above.
UPD2: Also Enhanced Bard Song is not a joke.

Did you know:
You can let Noober live and after he's asked his last question, you get a bit of XP for not losing patience and chunking him.
In SoD if you use the Hooded Man's portrait as your own he uses the following one instead;
Maybe it's just me, however it doesn't quite fit the character
