Did you know that Sarevok's greatsword , "Sword of CHAOS" , was originally a bastard sword? That explains why his BG1 animation holds it with one hand...
Sort of. There is a one-handed sword in the files of Baldur's Gate called "Sword of Chaos," but Sarevok doesn't wield it. Instead, he wields an unnamed two-handed sword +5 that has no abilities. The Demon Knight wields it as well, for some reason.

If you check vanilla BG on near infinity, Sarevok's original weapon is truly a one handed bastard sword
Bill, you'll always stay in our hearts and minds! Thanks for voicing one of my favourite characters! "Aye, now this be more like it! The first t' disobey me orders gets an axe in their skull." RIP!
If you take an Ankheg shell to Cromwell in BG2, he can create Ankheg Armor for you. What's more, he tells you he learned it from a friend of his in Beregost - which would of course be Taerom Fuiruim, owner of the Thunderhammer Smithy.
It's possible to charm Sarevok with algernon's clock and to leave the undercity with him. If he dies outside the temple of bhaal, you receive 30000 exp and you can continue the game (as long as you don't visit the temple again). Unfortunately he can't follow you to locations outside of Baldurs Gate and you have to use the sewers to travel to other districts...
What about the last sentence of the Charm Person Spell? "Also note that you cannot have a charmed creature leave the area where he is charmed." Is that being overwritten? Summons normally never cary over to any other map screen. How can this work? Also, who gave the other 15000 XP?
@justtravelinthrough There is a trick. Creatures follow you to other areas if they attack one of your party members and if you don't use the world map. I let Sarevok attack me while leaving an area. I don't know why I received 2x 15000 XP. It's probably a bug.

What a stunning revelation! The SCS mod blocks the way out of the Temple of Bhaal so you can't exit that area after entering, so I have never even thought about this possibility!
It's one of the biggest discoveries in all this thread.
Did you know: The kitless Bardsong isn't actually just a fear remover? It also gives +1 luck at 1, +2 at 15, and +3 at 20.
I say this is a Did you know since I've done a bunch of research but found this to be unconfirmed for the longest time. It was also strange the Blade Bardsong use to say that it didn't improve when I was under the impression that the base Bardsong didn't improve either.
Did you know that when you are solving the skinner murders, when you talk to rampah, and he offers to sell you the elephant hide for 100g, if you say you cant afford it, he will lower the price to 20g. If you say you can't affort *that* he will lower the price again to 5g. He wont go any lower than that.
For some odd reason, you can resurrect Tazit's (kid in Saradush) father as a paladin... if your cleric has a raising spell memorized. Somehow this results in your paladin being the one to cast the resurrection spell. This does not work for Keldorn, by the way.
Mustard Jelly form from Polymorph Self grants immunity to Spirit Troll attacks, as Spirit Trolls do piercing damage and their STR drain does not bypass magic resistance. Mustard Jelly form has 100% resistance to both piercing damage and magic.
Did you know that the elder brain in the Underdark dungeon has an (unimpressive) intelligence of 11?
@bengoshi This is one of my favourite exploids. There are so many usefull applications.
Did you know that Halbazzer Drin (the guy in Sorcerous Sundries in Baldur's Gate) has high level spells (e.g. Meteor Swarm, Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting and Summon Efreeti). You can charm him and take him to Sarevok.
It's crazy how amazing charm talk is. I never used that spell much before until today. It adds so much depth to things. You can get the bandit camp location out of the special bandit group in the belt-ogre map. Prat says a team of doppelgangers took on Rieltar as your party and that's why people say you were seen killing them. Greywolf says he hunts people for fun and then he questions himself as to why he likes you even though he normally hates everyone.
One of the bird chants in BG1 wilderness is quite clearly a budgie (those tiny lime parrots). It's safe to assume one of the original developers probably had one and easily recorded it. Or that there is australian wild life in the forgotten realms! My own bird even responds to that sound every single time it plays.
When speaking to Captain Samand after Mateo's trial in Saradush, one of your options is to tell him, "You want the truth? You can't handle the truth!" - a famous line from "A Few Good Men".
This is more of a "do you know?": Does anyone know why some threads on this forum uses a lightbulb icon for insightful, while others, like this thread, uses the much more esoteric "oval-looking" icon?

What a strange feeling it is when you realize that the game is still here, while one of the voices is not RL anymore.

In this trapped and locked cabinet there's some decent goodies:
How many people loot everything that is highlighted? I don't, at least not in BG2, so who knows how much I'm missing out on.
