Confession: I have resumed my very first Black Pits II playthrough, and I remembered pretty quickly why I put it on hold in the first place. Denneton's voice acting.
Except for that one time in the beginning when he says "rrrrriiiiigggghhhtttttt....." That was good. The rest was crap. But that was good.
Confession: Baeloth vs Denneton voice acting is probably the reason I've beat the black pits 1 five times yet haven't gotten to the third fight in two.
I want more Baeloth. They should make more games that feature him... Adventure Y???
I would get a shirt that says "I am death come for thee, surrender, and my passage shall be.... Quicker." Or "greetings mercenaries, I am silke, thespian extraordinaire!" But most likely, I would get, "I always wanted infravision like the elves, but t'is more than just taking thier eyes." With xzar a portrait.
Confession: I have both Xzar (for the very first time) and Edwin in my party at the moment and sofar I'm liking Xzar better. (I want to pick up Baeloth ASAP, so I'll probably be dumping Edwin for him... I'm really torn though...)
Confession: trying to make my writing look anything like Sherwood is HARD, especially using a brush. Argh. I settled for "Swords not words" after all, too.
@Ploughed_Jester, confession: actually, some girlfriends cry only "how about multiplayer?!".
Confession: I really wish I could dual from ranger to mage... I want an arcane archer.
Confession: the only reason my most beloved Charname was a fighter/mage is because ranger/sorcerer is impossible. Dual-wielder in my case though.
If I am not mistaken though @Ploughed_Jester, there's a mod out there with a sharpshooter (fighter) kit. Could be interesting to dual/multi that to mage...
@Sjerrie Unfortunately, it's a thief kit, and while that shouldn't be a huge problem, it tweaks me a bit. I really don't want poison for that character even though it'd be useful... same for traps. It is what it is.
Confession: I have a phobia of running out of healing potions, so I never ever use them unless I have like thirty per character, because some part of me is always going WHAT IF I NEED IT LATER?

Just like 90% of the population, bro.
I somehow doubt 90% of the population will mentally tell their dying tank to "suck it up" and wait until the very last second to administer potions.
But okay, here are some better ones.
Confession: Despite the glaring plot holes and inconsistencies, TOB was always my favorite of the trilogy because of all the potential it had. Enemies becoming allies! A genocidal war against your own kind! A series of trials that delve into the past and possible alternate universes! A chance to ascend to godhood! A final battle against all your resurrected enemies (Ascension only)! The story, if they'd bothered to look at the FR lore and keep a few facts from the first two games straight, could have been epic.
Confession: The first time I did SOA, I left Minsc in his cage because he'd gotten killed by a wyvern in the first game, so I was afraid he was some undead horror come to haunt me from the grave.
Confession: I hate Neera solely because she's a wild mage who a) screws up the lore and b) makes my wild mage no longer unique.
Confession: I don't get why people praise the vanilla romances and much prefer mod ones. If you don't do everything exactly right in a vanilla romance, you get locked out of it, which is really frustrating. Jaheira, I'm looking at you.
Confession: Of the mod romances, my favorites are Kivan, Xan, Amber, Tashia...and Sarevok.
Addendum Confession: I regret nothing of the Sarevok Romance.
Confession: since I started using healing potions without fear of running out of them (with the EE release), the game got too easy. And clerics became more useful.
Confession: i get annoyed when my charname has Int 20 and he still sounds clueless in most conversations. I mean, with that intelligence he should be looking at the world like Neo looks at the matrix
Edit: although, now that i think of it, Neo is clueless in all three films
@Sjerrie: The description of a wild mage says they study and train exclusively in the use of wild magic, trying to master and control pure chaos. Neera's description is that she can't control her magic, so sometimes it comes out wrong. That's more a sorceress who doesn't know how to control herself than a wild mage.
So not only does she break lore, she also irritates my main CHARNAME by insisting she's a wild mage when, in fact, she's not.
@Apocrypha I get your point (I remember some of her backstory now), but 'study and training in' does not automatically mean 'control of'. Also, wild mages specialize in wild magic, the word exclusive might not be that appropriate.
The way I see it, Wild Magic is strange and exciting and slightly unpredictable even in the best of circumstances, and that's what draws Neera to it. If wild magic could be fully controlled, would it still be wild magic?
Confession: I have only had Neera in a party once, and it was and still is the first wild mage I ever used.
I think @Sjerrie is right, Wild Magic just wouldn't be wild magic anymore if someone would be able to control it.
That being said, I might be remembering this wrong, but I remember sometimes when casting a spell without NRD and getting a wild surge. Though, its rare.
Confession: I played a wild mage once, and got a wild surge that petrified my character.
@SapphireIce101, EVERY spell a wild mage casts has a 5% chance of wild surge. NRD just enables you to cast any spell in your book. Chaos Shield doesn't even prevent the surge, it just gives you a better chance of a surge in your favor. I once had a cow drop from the sky to insta-kill an enemy... :-p
@sjerrie: Point taken. Even at high levels you can get bad surges, so it goes to show that while you can control wild magic, you can't perfectly do so, if that makes sense. Still, I always interpreted being a wild mage as jumping into a new field of magic for whatever reason and trying to learn it. Neera's backstory has no mention of her studying it and every mention of her not being able to control the magic she was born with, so that says "Sorceress" to me.
Confession: My first ever wild surge came during the fight with that assassin at the FAI. It turned my CHARNAME bright orange :P
Confession: My last wild surge (with that first wild mage) was during the Ascension-Amelyssan fight in TOB. It Held my CHARNAME, who was promptly gibbed by Slayer-Imoen.
Comments
"So sayeth the wise Alaundo" across the back.
I want more Baeloth. They should make more games that feature him... Adventure Y???
Confession: I have never enough patient to wait Edwin to change Edwina.
Confession: I've never done the cleric's stronghold.
Confession: I've never even considered playing a druid... or even taking Cernd into my party. Jaheira's ok.
Confession: I always kill Kangaxx without ever attacking... but I've never picked his moldy old pocketses.
Confession: I really wish I could dual from ranger to mage... I want an arcane archer.
Confession:
Every year, when spring rolls in, and the air smells crisp and new,
I think of springs and summers past, and know what I must do.
I take keyboard and mouse in hand, and sit down in my chair,
to roll up stats for CHARNAME new, my girlfriend doth dispair.
For in my mind it calls me forth, this truth I must confess,
"The pain will only be passing. You should survive the process".
Through dungeons cold with warriors bold, I'll march o'er hill and glenn.
Let dragons die and girlfriends cry, the Bhaalspawn saga begins again!
@Ploughed_Jester, confession: actually, some girlfriends cry only "how about multiplayer?!".

Confession: I have never played the game with the vanilla party.
Confession: I often use ctrl + 6 on noober so he joins the party. I'll then have him attack Drizzt or some other other-powered being.
Corollary Confession: I am old enough to remember the album and the movie. :-/
But okay, here are some better ones.

Confession: After all these years I still can't settle on a class and play through all of BG2 and it is quite frustrating..

Gods, I'm not the only one here who adores it, that's great.
Confession addendum: instead of trying to turn Neera back, I reloaded...
Minor Confession: I am now intrigued about the Sarevok romance.
