Confession: I refused to play BG2 for 6-10 years (don't remember exactly) because I didn't want the cannon to mess with my 'fan fiction' of what happened to my Bhaalspawn after the events of BG1.
Confession: I am overjoyed to see the BG:EE devs suddenly posting in the forums again. :>0
Confession: My "gateway drug" into D&D, which has been my source of all pleasure and joy since high school, was old Harvey Casper and Wendy comics.
I especially loved the way Wendy rhymed her "White Magic" spells. One of her favorites was "White Magic Circle of Protection", which amounted to a Protection from Evil 10', combined with a Mass Stoneskin. Wendy the Good Little Witch was overpowered that way.
Confession: I killed Drizzt for his gear as a good-aligned NPC (in both games), and I was happy about it.
Confession: I like BG1 more than BG2.
Confession: I have done over 10,000 damage to Cespanar
Confession: Viconia broke my heart
Confession: My good-aligned druid Charname killed Haer'Dalis over his interference with my Aerie Romance. I replaced them with Edwin and Viconia. My character became a shadow druid and chose all evil choices at the Gates of Hell.
Confession: I have never assembled the big metal unit, nor have I CLUAConsoled it into the game.
Confession: If I ever had to look up how to do something, I immediately felt guilty even trying to do it.
Confession: the Assassin is my favorite kit.
Confession: I have never played a cleric charname of any kind.
Confession: Most of my "solo" runs turn into full party runs.
Confession: I still pray at night for the announcement of BG3.
Confession: Since ToB was first released, I've played through the whole Trilogy about um, ten, fifteen times? Approximately once a year and always dubbed version, in my native language. I absolutely adored it and couldn't imagine playing it any other way, all the fantastic NPCs simply owned those equally fantastic voices. They belonged to them from the beginning and forever, especially that BG1 is one of those early games that made me and influenced me greatly. Also, back then both the translation and dubbing were simply brilliant, made professionally, with attention to details, engaging highly experienced voice actors. At some point I got interested in mods and purchased un-dubbed version too so it could run smoother with un-dubbed and/or un-translated modifications. At first I hated it. I hated it so much I couldn't play for more than for two or three hours a week even if I wanted to and when in a gaming mood; instead I was constantly thinking about playing so the time was wasted anyway. Original voices felt bland and empty and so very, impossibly wrong I think it was BG1 NPC Project and later this fantastic mod that made me slowly change my mind, no matter that I considered the second mod's main NPC's original voice particularly awful and I still think so, actually.
And now, I'm conflicted. BG/BG2EE, despite their numerous flaws, are both great and it's not pure sentiment that made me enthusiastic about gaming once again. Yet I still can't get completely over losing all those words in my own language which I can quote from memory even if woken in the middle of the night. Because they've been with me for, in some cases, way over half my lifetime, no matter that currently I communicate mostly in English and I don't hate original version so much anymore.
Moreover, there's Neera, Rasaad and, most importantly, Dorn and his (or rather, Gord Marriot's) amazing timbre; all this almost makes me forget that close to half of main dubbing cast is dead. Almost. Still conflicted.
Confession: It feels so immensely weird, not to have Dorn in the party, after just one, single run with him on board. He must've been really impressed, considering that both his treacherous ex-companions ended up as puddle of bloody goo (natural 20, twice, yay) and equally disappointed when Aruvale said bye-bye to him... For all his flaws (flaws in his design, not personality flaws, ehe) he's made quite an impact and despite my constant whining and complaints, I admit that I like this character, a lot. Actually, that's exactly why I'm complaining so much.
Confession: I really don't like it when people try to use DLC and expansion as interchangeable words.
Now, back to BG confessions.
Confession: I have yet to dual-class a Kensai to mage.
Confession: Whenever I say Wizard Slayer isn't a bad kit people seem to think I'm crazy or something.
Confession: When it comes to druids, I think Avenger is one of the best kits.
Confession: I think the Shapeshifter kit should have all the shapeshifting forms.
Confession: I don't like doing Durlag's Tower, or Watcher's Keep.
Confession: I hate to admit this, but I think bards in IWD are clearly superior than bards in BG2 with or without kits. Thanks @CamDawg for making IWDification.
Confession: I have yet to use the IWDification mod.
@winters Confession: I have only just taken on Dorn for the very first time. My Charname druid is intrigued and planning a romance too.
Confession: In the same party I am having a hard time choosing between Xzar and Edwin for arcane duties. Edwin is the superior mage I think, but I find Xzar more likeable. And I don't want to miss out on Monty's... Monty-ness.
Confession: I skipped this thread until few minutes ago because I hate twitter and #ConfessionsofaBhaalspawn is too twitterish...
Confession: I was wrong, this thread is so ilarious. If one day I'll start twittering it'll be because of this thread.
Confession: My first 5 playthrough in BG1 and in BG2 were with a Paladin.
Confession: My last 5 playthrough in BGEE and BG2EE were with an evil character...
Confession: Even with an evil PC I can't tell Minsc that I killed Dynaheir... I did it once... and then I reloaded.
Confession: I never used a Bard. Really never!!!! And I never will (I'm sorry for Haer'Dalis)
Confession: I finished all the romances. In every game I choose my gender and my class after deciding who I'll romance in the game.... but I hate romances, and I think romances are boring....
Confession: I told my wife for 2 years that iPad sucks because you can only play stupid games and chat with it (I bought an iPad for my wife in August 2011). In November 2013 BG2EE for iPad came out. On December 10 I bought an iPad Air. On December 20 I told my wife that I had to give her Christmas present before Christmas... On December 20 (later) I stole her the "old" iPad 2. In the last 116 days I've played BGEE and BG2EE with iPad more than 4 hours EVERY day.
@Pibaro Confession: I also hate Twitter, but find using hashtags on the Baldur's Gate forum to be really fun. I love the thread about creating hastags for the game
Confession: Today I heard Xan's original voice for the first time thanks to @winters. He sounds like a whiny comic relief cartoon character! Where is my gloomy, melancholic Xan with a pleasant deep voice? What is going on? If I played the English BG he wouldn't last in my party for longer than about five minutes, what. Seriously, what. My ears are bleeding.
On my first playthrough, I rushed through things like the Beholder Cult quest by walking in and killing everything. I solved all my problems using violence and screwed up a lot of quests. I needed walkthroughs to play it properly.
Now if you excuse me, I have to get a tub of icecream...

My charname (and 3/4 of her party) just got killed by a werewolf (probably). At level 4. At the bottom of FAI stairs. I left the game on and went to do some chores, when I got back, I saw the obvious message and this creature still standing there O_o What the flying f*ck?
Comments
Can't be sure if he's considered 'hot', but otherwise Valygar fits that bill I think.
Ooooh. Actually, you ARE right. It's a pity he's also so grumpy and keeps his hotness to himself, but well, not without a reason.
I think I have a mod to try out.
Poor gnomes!
They are awesome!
