Confession: I consider the file with the Sarevok romance my canon.
Confession: My best wild surge opened a Gate in the middle of the fight with Irenicus (in Suldunasser). My party had Protection From Evil active. He did not. What ensued was very satisfying.
Confession: I modded my game to let mages use crossbows, just so they could do something useful in early levels when they had like three spells.
@Apocrypha, I know that, but on this forum I felt like the crazy one who flails around about Sarevok, haha. Come on, play it, plaaaay it, Aeryn is the best and so on.
Confession: My certainly funniest (and probably most annoying) surge mass casted Heal during final battle of BG1, including a near death Sarevok and one of his helpers. Swear -> laugh -> swear some more.
Confession: Given the popular habit of referring to the player character as such, 'Charname' has slowly become the canon name for the BGT protagonist in my head. I also imagine it being pronounced in a cool, edgy way like Charr-nem.
Confession: I wish I could wipe my memory somehow and forget most, if not all BG-related stuff. Playing a game you know so well is really nice, especially after a longer break I can't remember exactly everything, but it's like re-reading a favourite book, one things remind about the rest and about halfway through it starts to feel redundant. This is why I appreciate even the tiniest bit of new EE content.
Confession: I have an odd distaste for any weapon that doesn't have a proper name. And by proper name, I mean something like "Crom Faeyr", "Blackrazor", "Firetooth", etc. Those sound imposing, worthy of an epic-level adventuring band. Names like "Flail of the Ages", "Spear of Withering", and "Mana Bow" are not proper names and sound like something a newbie slapped on to sound scary.
Confession: This doesn't stop me from using said weapons.
Confession: I have only ever beaten BG twice, once on the original version and once in BGEE
Confession: I have only ever beaten BG2 once.
Confession: I have never beaten ToB.
I just get bored half-way through, quit for a week or two and restart. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
Confession: Level drain+high-level spellcaster is this one special thing which made me abandon the game for a longer while several times (and counting).
Confession: BG2 was the first video game of any kind, that I had ever played. After I found and played BGI as well, I went shopping for more games. When asked by the salesperson what I was looking for, I actually said, “I would like to find another game like Baldur’s Gate.” Sigh… my search continues.
Confession: I love the romances and give a heartfelt thank you to all the modders out there that put their time and heart into providing more options for them.
Confession: I have never been able to play an evil PC. I have tried, it’s just not in me.

I fully agree on both points and have the following complementary, romance-related confessions to make.
Confession: whenever planning a new playthrough, choosing my romantic interest is usually the first item on my list. In 90% of the cases, I end up with Aerie as she is the only one of the romanceable vanilla NPCs I could fathom liking in real life.
Confession: When I played BG2 for the first time circa 2001 as a 14-year-old pubescent boy, I had the biggest crush on Imoen. I didn't realize she was supposed to be your sister until much later on and even that realization did not put me off too much. I eventually got around to trying the infamous Imoen Romance mod but never finished it due to bugs/compatibility issues.

Hehe, I wonder what @CrevsDaak has to say about that? :P though his avatar says he's over it. I think I kinda liked arie, but my first playthrough I F-ed up the romance because I didn't want to hurt Jahieras feelings. Back then I approached the romances the same way I did sentimental chick books I occasionally accidentally picked from the library. I kinda hid it because I didn't know what my mom would say, though I knew it wouldn't be *bad*, but I was embarrassed. while at the same time if would also (sometimes) read the books. that was when I was barely 13 though. Much more mature now.

Confession: When I first played BG2 (aged 13) I got a crush on
Confession: I wish the Dragon Disciple kit got Dragon Wings, like in Neverwinter Nights.
Confession: I also wish that the Dragon Disciple Kit had a HLA that allowed them to turn into whatever color dragon they want to be.
Confession: I think that if there was ever a new NPC, that it would have to be a bard, or a Paladin.
Confession: I'm starting to think that Adventure Y is just Black Pits 3 where Clara decides that since she isn't that good of a thief. She starts up her own Black Pits in the Forest of Tethyr.
Confession: In the Killed Hexxat. What's Next? Thread. I said that if I were playing a Paladin the situation with Clara would be easily averted with these easy steps.
1. See Clara. 2. Smite Clara, for she is Neutral Evil, and Paladins can sense evil. 3. ???? 4. Profit!
Confession: I accidently got one of my rangers to become a Fallen Ranger.
Confession: Before Blackguards even came out, I made a Fallen paladin.
Confession: I pronounce Blackguard as...Black Guard. Not Blaggard, which is actually the correct pronunciation, apparently?
Confession: I've been tempted to make a Barbarian named Ragnar Lothbrok, and I blame the show Vikings for that.
Confession: I've been tempted to make a Berserker named Lagertha, and she would use a sword and shield, because she's a shield maiden. Again, totally blame the show Vikings for that.
Confession: i get extremely annoyed when my lv20+ archmage cannot read any of the quest items that are magic tomes : the one for the portals in the underdark, the one from korgans quest, etc, etc. I always keep them and assume he doesnt have time to study them in detail. But still!
Confession: I have pulled all-nighters messing around with BG related stuff, on school nights. While it probably isn't *the* reason I didn't perform super great, the "escape factor" was definitely present.
Confession: I have only ever beaten BG twice, once on the original version and once in BGEE

I just get bored half-way through, quit for a week or two and restart. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
Confession: I am SO the opposite. I HAVE TO finish my game even if I hate, hate, hate it. (And I have to pick up all the gems and loot to the very end, even if I'm swimming in gold.)
Confession: The first and last time I read the (non-existent) novels, I got so pissed I marched right to my computer, created a CHARNAME modeled after Abduh, and tried to see how many ways I could get him brutally killed.
Confession: This has since turned into a form of stress relief for me.
Confession: My favorite so far has involved having Jan use "Polymorph Other" to turn Abduh into a squirrel and then running up to Firkaag.
Confession: Despite beating both BG and BG2 over 5 times each, I've only finished TOB once.
Confession: My favorite BG NPC is probably Kagain. And I actually like Anomen, even his "tall tales."
Confession: I've never used Tiax, Quayle, Kivan, Eldoth, Skie, Monteron, Xzar, Safana, Faldorn, Cernd or Haer'Dalis.
Confession: I prefer BG (especially with the NPC mod) to BG2. I like how the story progresses in the first game better. I find Sarvok a much more intimidating villain then Irenicus. I prefer the openness of the "country side" and completeness of Baldur's Gate to the more "high-light tours" approach in BG2/Athkatla.
Confession: My favorite quest is saving Tradesmeet, getting you parties statues around the Fountain is such a cool reward, and make me feel like a Hero, in a way that nothing else can match. Despite that I never use BG druids - their lack of useful lvl 2 spells (compared to Hold Person, Silence, and DUHM) just annoys me too much.
Confession: Sometimes for roleplay reasons my Charname wishes to remain anonymous after saving Trademeet, so I polymorph him/her just before being granted the statue. There's been more than a few mindflayer and werewolf statues at the fountain...
Confession: When it comes to the druid grove quest, I prefer going the evil route. I have no idea why. I just like it more.
Confession: I think Cernd is a much better druid than Jaheira is, or will ever be.
Confession: That being said, I actually prefer to put them in a group together. Kind of like putting Kivan and Coran together. You get two good things instead of just one!
Confession: I love both Baldur's Gate and the Final Fantasy series, despite the fact that some people consider them horrendously diametrically incompatible.
Confession: I've always really liked Delainy as she appears in BGI . . . yet nowadays I don't always make it to the werewolf island. (I think that has more to do with the limited number of ways to kill wolfweres than with her, though.)
Confession: I also like Cernd and use him more than Jaheira.
Confession: I never run divine casters, of any kind. No Clerics, Paladins, Rangers, or Druids, (though I am interested in the latter). I will typically have 1-1.5 in my party, but they are always NPCs.

Confession: The SCS mod has changed BG for me once and for all. It has given me more than 100 "WHAT?" moments and I like it.
Confession: Fortunately, I don't call Coran, Zevran when I play Baldur's Gate!
Confession: Sometimes I want to call Ajantis, Alistair, and vice versa.
Confession: When playing Awakening, I get the serious vibe that Velanna is just Viconia.
Confession: Sometimes I get the urge to call Nathaniel Howe, Kivan. However, I never get the urge to call Kivan, Nathaniel Howe.
