@Bjjorick I <3 KOTOR. I think TOR failed because the people that wanted it don't want WOW. We wanted a solo adventure. "If everybody is special, Nobody is" (The Incredibles)

BTW - what does a guy have to do to be "insightful" on anything? Nobody loves me. I guess I'll be GARRICK, the BELOVED...

@reedmilfam geez, here i thought we were enjoying a convo, but you were just baiting me to feed you some insiteful hits. You wound me sir......but i'll give you an insiteful or two if you stand there and let me poke you with this stick. (that's not perverted, just cartoonish violence)

OKay, the DM is here...So, has everyone decided what you want to do? I'll repost my post about the room of spheres...

@OOC I never understood what has kept a good Star Trek CRPG game from ever being produced. KoTR was an amazing gaming a its time, with a good story and immersion. I am actually playing it once more. I didn't even look at the MMO. They don't have any appeal to me.

@OOC last one, since the game is back on, but hopefully, the age of MMO's are over.....and the best of the mmos was the first, imho with ultima online. :)

Okay, while you are exploring, @IchigoRXC TIAX fiddles some more with the statue. Nothing comes of it. It neither tries to rip his head off nor lay the world at his feet. The others, crowded into the fairly small room, are ready to move on, and gladly follow Alora and help her get down. You find yourselves standing in another long hallway, 20' by 130' long, or thereabouts. Just like the entryway, the floor is inlaid tiles, and the walls are painted with figures of animals (as is the ceiling). But this one differs in that there are far fewer animals on the walls, and each one appears to be holding some sort of sphere. The one you have crawled from, is, on this side, a golden sphere held high over the head of a snakey-looking man. Down the same western-side wall, running north to south are: an Orange sphere held waist-high, Purple at the feet, Bronze held waist high, Gray at shoulder, Bright Blue at the feet, White held high above the head, Turquoise at the Shoulder, Scarlet held Waist-High, Pale Green at the Feet.

On the other side of the hall, on the eastern wall, are: Pale Blue at the Shoulder, Silver at the feet, Green held high above the head, Yellow at the Shoulder, Pink held high above the head, Black at the feet, Pale Violet at the shoulder, Red held waist-high, Buff at the feet and Indigo held high above the head.

At the southern end of the hall is another archway, this one with stones that glow Olive, Russet and Citron, and the familliar, swirling vapors.

    I'll stand by Alora.

@Permidion_Stark asked if the Spheres could fit in the hands of the Gargoyle statue, and I said: No, these are much too big to fit in the hands of the gargoyle. The Orange and Purple ones are hinged like doors, though. and the Black and Red are illusions. covering crawlways similar to the one from the room with the gargoyle statue.

Wake up everybody! It's time to explore!
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
I'm going to look at the Orange and Purple hinged doors. I think I'm big enough to see. I will check for traps and listen (without putting my ear right against them)
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
Do the doors have airtight seals or could you slip a blade under them?
  • LadyRhianLadyRhian Member Posts: 14,694
You don't hear anything. In fact, that's pretty damn unnatural- the entire tomb is silent as, a, well, you know...
  • LadyRhianLadyRhian Member Posts: 14,694
And you don't detect any traps on either door (well that's the only thing you can think of to call them).

OOC @permidion_stark want to crawl in a hole? i'm lonely here in limbo
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
Oooh, that's really scary. There might be something buried in there.

Do the doors appear to be made of wood or metal? Has someone got a spear of a club? We could tap on the door and see if it sounds hollow?

Has anyone searched the floor of the hallway for traps?
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
    Guys? Guys?
  • mlnevesemlnevese Member, Moderator Posts: 10,214
OOC Does anyone mention the wierd silence? I'm human, so I'm nearly deaf compared to a halfling :)
  • LadyRhianLadyRhian Member Posts: 14,694
Some kind of stone, maybe. The spheres are slightly shiny, but not in a way that makes you think wood or metal... more like polished stone.
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
Kivan I crawled all over the floor looking for traps yesterday. At least I hope I did!
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
Keldorn I don't know what can cause silence? But it can't be that quiet because I'm making lots of noise!
  • LadyRhianLadyRhian Member Posts: 14,694
@Minevese it's just strange. In a normal tomb, you might hear mice or small animals rustling, the stones settling, or something- even a breeze. Here, it's just like dead air: strange, unnerving, and possessing almost a expectant, waiting quality.
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
Where are the hinges on the stone spheres? Side, top or bottom?
  • LadyRhianLadyRhian Member Posts: 14,694
Yes, Alora did. And there were no traps in the chamber that she found.
  • Awong124Awong124 Member Posts: 2,642
    I'll go inspect the archway.

Okay. Now I'm scared. Time for someone brave to do something.

The biggest thread ever in this forums, and I have no Idea what this is all about :-p

It's too silent here... something must have scared everything even the vermin have run away.
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
No they haven't, Tiax is still here!
  • IchigoRXCIchigoRXC Member Posts: 1,001
Tiax would like to remind you black is the colour of night. If Tiax is ignored one more time he is going to... going to... do something really stupid.
