*Tiaxina reluctantly heals the bleeding elf, making sure to push down hard on his wounds before healing him up nicely* *She whispers* If you ever, ever put yourself before the safety and lives of our companions again you will be on you own, Tiaxina shall not fix you up, shall not tell you where the traps are, and she shall let your fulfil your prophecy of doom. Do not cross her again.
*Voice: Yes... yes feel the rage swell inside you, feel the hatred and harness it, use it, Nothing can make you as powerful as rage can.*
OOC: Making an assumption that I've just gotten over successfully with spider shoes.
*Sits down, pulls off shoes and straps on steel boots again, stands up and walks to Xan*
Sniveling wretch, give me one reason I shouldn't kill you now.
*grabs Xan by the throat and lifts him up over the pit*
You were warned... but... you were fortunate this time that Imoen cares about Alora. I will let you live
*sets Xan down hard, near the ledge, and walks away (not far obviously), uncaring if Xan slips and falls in*
Tiaxina, you shall lead us on from here. I will follow you, to my death if need be. If you want me to kill any... thing *spits on floor*... tell me and it shall be done.
XAN! You risked Imoens life, Semaj risked Imoens life once... once.
ooc - only I didn't. 8-| I'm okay that we didn't do things the way we said we were going to do because of an issue with the DM and communications, but to then over-harp about it is frustrating on my end.
@reedmilfam Understandable. It will be okay, though. Everybody is over the trap, everyone is more or less okay, and we can march cheerfully on to something that'll just kill us outright so we have to go wait our turn in the queue again.
OOC: @reedmilfam we are not saying you are bad for making Alora go first, but for not chucking her boots over and it is all in character. I am slowly making Tiaxina break down, and this was the perfect opportunity to do so. We are not playing on you, but on Xan's doomed outlook. If anything I must thank you for giving me the opportunity. Tiaxina's fall from grace is going to be tragic, If i can pull it off before we are all dead (which could be the next room).
Okay, the passage goes on for another 50' and ends at a blank wall. About 10' from the wall, on the north side, you find a secret door You find no traps on the door, and it opens on a small 10' by 10'... corridor? Room? With a passage so small, it's hard to tell. You also see another door at the northern end of the passageway,

OOC: *hugs* I'm loving that the DM did things different than planned. It changed what should have been uneventful into something normal. Xan would have been the hero levitating Alora to safety, but instead got hurt himself and refused to do anything else. it was... awesome. Plus, you've noticed with this group, mages have a low chance of survivability. That's why I'll play a bard next, I'm already long past my expiration date.
Imoen stops just outside the doorway of the 10 x 10 space. She's looking for traps, or holes in the walls that would suggest more spikes or some sort of gas chamber arrangement.
Tiaxina shall examine the room, she feels it is best if only one goes in. Sarevok shall be Tiaxina's rock, this rope shall be tied around Tiaxina and you shall tie it to yourself. Ground yourself Bhaalspawn your strength shall be needed if suddenly Tiaxina is to fall... such a small room could be a deathtrap. Xan, Tiaxina is in need of you and the paladins to help Sarevok should something happen, she is to be pulled to safety... she hopes. Also, that gem of yours, it may be of use in this room, deceptions could be everywhere.
*When all is prepare Tiaxina cautiously enters to room... looking about for oddities and traps*
There is more of you to hit young one, Tiaxina is a much smaller target. *Tiaxina shudders realising Alora's size did not do her much good. She puts on a brave face* Tiaxina is sure the worst is over and soon it will be needed to steel yourselves for the Lich himself.
Xan was in an extremely dour mood at this point, indeed. "I'm a coward while the vaunted paladins skulk behind me," he growled, for he knew that he was essentially being led to the slaughter. True, he should have thought about the slippers, but how could he know that the halfing's (and Imoen's, for that matter) uncanny grace was unnatural?
Well, he knew that he should have realized that magic was at work, but that would only have been if he were being honest with himself and not brooding. Now, however, he was definitely brooding. Nobody trusted him, nobody wanted him and, in truth, while they were fools, it grated Xan that none of them knew any better than to hold him in such low esteem. That, however, was why they were doomed. Any chance they would have (from listening to his wise counsel) was squandered - simply squandered.
With his StoneSkin spell wasted, he felt increasingly vulnerable and mortal. Xan was half tempted, merely out of spite, to case Emotion - Hopelessness, but he controlled himself (this time). Then, again, he could use Dire Charm on the hulking brute (Sarevok) and then show who would have the last laugh.
Xan suddenly chuckled out loud, for he thought this last idea truly amusing. The noise startled those around him, who probably believed that he was going mad. Only, he was the only sane one left. Except Imoen, who was beyond reproach right now, even if it was all doomed to be unrequited.
Imoen sits patiently with her back to the wall. She watches the others and wonders what will happen next. She also hopes Tiaxina has memorized Zone of Sweet Air, just in case.
*Tiaxina looks back* Fear not Sarevok, you have 2 able bodied Paladins to keep you safe, at the first sign of you are to pull Tiaxina out.
OOC: So Xan has gone in and looked inside the room? I was kinda implying I would take the gem and look around the room with it. You know, keep Xan out of danger, he got spiked enough yesterday haha.
