I cleaned up the bathroom! I still haven't gotten the tub yet because I would have run out of paper towels and was pretty physically drained already, but it's super clean now. It feels nice.

Cleaning is my go to when I am anxious, agitated or angry. When I am angry I have to clean something.
Yesterday I installed Wine 6.0 on Ubuntu Bionic Beaver. And for what... the emulator just crashed every time I tried to play a game. After trying to fix it, I just gave up and went back to the previous version, Wine 5.0. Everything works now, and I'm glad that I didn't have to reinstall the games.
I just spent a long time with Lily watching Sunny and the cringy nightmare that is the Chris Chan documentary. She's doing her online tutoring soon and I'm super proud of her. I can't wait to see her become a nurse.
My brother came over this evening. I haven’t seen anyone in the family for years, I guess it has been four years now. His oldest son wanted something from me that is very valuable but I have not had interest in for twenty years or more. I drove there in a snow storm, brought the best pizza in the county gave him thousands of dollars worth of stuff, he never even said thank you. He has heroine problems, or had, not sure if he still does. The point being, I have not seen and rarely talked to anyone in my family for a long time. Literally before my boyfriend passed away I had only talked to one family member once since that day four years ago, very briefly.
Showed them his artwork, made them coffee, talked GoT. Read the books until The Mountain crushed that guys skull and have no interest in it since, god it was so violent. That was it. They seemed so old. Literally locked in their bedroom while their children run the rest of their million dollar home that sits on twenty acres of beautiful woodland property. They are younger than me. I don’t get them. They are completely locked in Trumpville, was a bit scary to be honest.
I am very grateful though, I still love my brother. Kitty was not overly fond of them but sometimes I wonder if he likes anyone but me. It was, um, surreal. But they came to see me. I can count the times that a family member has come to see me in the last thirty years on one hand and use no fingers at all in the last ten. We will never be close but at least there is something if he would drive one and a half hours just to see me then stay until the snow started to fall until he left. Kinda on cloud nine right now.
Some random guy who was asking to join the IWD2EE beta added a P.S. at the end of the message saying I was hot IRL. I ain't know where he saw my picture, but it's the first time anyone's ever called me "hot" besides my girlfriend.
So my girlfriend is doing a chemistry lab tonight, and because it's an online Zoom class, she has to do the experiments at home with a little kit the school mailed her.
Now, the first lab I remembered seeing her do was just simple stuff, measuring out water. The next one was more exciting, about lighting stuff on fire. So I said that if the first one was water and the second one was fire, the next one must be earth or air!
She gets the stuff from her box and shows me what they're working with.
"We're using balloons."
Been lazy and restless lately, with the bad weather, swimming pools still closed due to lockdown, tired from work and all that... today I finally forced myself to run 5km after work. No idea if I can make it a habit, but for now I'm super proud of myself for getting my lazy bum off the couch (and will continue to play Mass Effect 3 before bed without a bad conscience because I earned it!)

Running is a lot easier than throwing stuff. I can't throw a ball much farther than a 10 year old and would probably stab myself in the foot with a javelin.

well to be honest, javelin is one tricky beast of an implement to throw, if you dont know how to throw it properly it probably wont go pass 20 meters and you will blow out a rotator along with it
My two year old granddaughter comes up to me yesterday and says "I want meatballs". I tell her we don't have any meatballs right now, and without skipping a beat she responds "then I want to go bowling". What the...??? The connections that happen in a toddlers mind are confounding and astounding.
