More concerned with the state of their intrepid (albeit troublesome) Halfling, Jaheira calls upon the blessings of Silvanus to bring health and goodness to Alora's unconscious form. "It is not yet your time to yield to the darkness, little one."
OOC: Alora returns grumpily to consciousness. She has dimly heard Anomen's words through the fuzziness in her head.
""I'm not a stupid girl! And we are returning to the closest town. This is the only way we can go unless we want to go back the way we came. And my head hurts."
"Thank you for healing me Jaheira. Please inform Anomen that I am not talking to him until he apologises and if he keeps being nasty to me I am not going to let him be in party anymore."
Neera is glad to see Alora safe. Since she joined the party she hasn't set anyone ablaze with her magic and counts that as a success.
"I'm glad someone appreciates my talents~!" Neera says triumphantly as she begins spinning her staff only to drop it. She grabs it and then stands straight hoping no one but Oops saw her blunder.
Shortly after defeating the ooze, you find a gust of fresher air. Following it, you find yourself outside, on the other side of the mountain. Ahead of you is a sea of thick grass, but you can hear the sounds of water running and splashing. To the right, you can see a break in the grass.
"If there's a town or a village there will be a path leading to it so we should follow the path through the grass," says Alora (forgetting that she is not talking to Anomen)
The valley narrows as you continue to walk, coming to maybe 30' across. There is a great number of spiderwebs strung across the valley.
Like the timbers of some ancient wrecked ship, a cage of massive, bleached ribs stands as a mute monument to a long-dead giant amongst beasts. The skull and other scattered bones are shrouded by a sheet of pallid web-like strands, while on either side intricate traceries of threads block the valley like a pair of outstretched wings.
Lady Aerie, I was pondering about this spear I acquired. Would it be possible for you to determine if there are any hidden enchantments on it? At your earliest convenience of course.
I know my aim is true, but after how I defeated that hobgoblin I began questioning the thing.
OOC: please cast identify on my spear.
*Hands Ajantis his mace*
I don't think it wise having you travel unarmed. Use this till we find you a suitable replacement.
"There are some boots that need identifying if you are in the mood for identifying stuff. And all the potions we found in the chest. Maybe one of them will be a Potion of Protection Against Spiders because I think we are going to need one."
"Thank you, Anomen." Ajantis accepts the offered weapon, hefting its weight experimentally. "I'm not exactly proficient but this should put a dent in evil skulls."
"Need I say there is a sense of evil about these web shrouded bones?" He frowns at Jaheira, "Before you say anything, that was rhetorical."

OOC: We need a 'Like a Lot' button because I liked that a lot.
OOC: I think we're more likely to be a meal for the spiders than they are going to be a meal for us. Maybe we should go back into the mine and memorise as many slow poison spells as we can before going any further?
Would Alora eat a Chocolate-Covered Spider? I remember seeing a spell in a "Spellbook" that was for strength- Eat a Spider between two pieces of buttered bread. And my first thought was "because nothing worse will happen to you for the rest of the day..."

OOC: I don't think there is enough chocolate in the whole of Faerun to make spiders palatable to Alora. Having said that, if the chocolate was thick enough she might try to chip some of it off.
Can you imagine biting through chocolate and finding a squishy, spidery centre?
I think the spider on buttered bread thing was supposed to be the skinny little brownish spiders you sometimes get in your house. Tiny things, not, say, a tarantula. Still, though... Ugh! With enough chocolate, I bet you don't even taste the spider...
On the other hand, spiders like in Landrin's house in Beregost? Not enough chocolate in EVERY world...

Wait, does that make me a 2/2 or 2/3? o.o
He picks up the remains of his sword and studies it for a moment before dropping it. "Always a shame to lose a good blade."

And Aerie has achieved Mage level 2 and Cleric level 3!
"Which was should we go now? I don't think I want to go back down that tunnel so do we just go deeper into the mine or go back the way we came?"
Alora heads towards the break in the grass.

Aerie uses Identify on Anomen's spear.
