On the other hand, spiders like in Landrin's house in Beregost? Not enough chocolate in EVERY world...

I hate going in that house. I'm not good with spiders in real life and the ones in the game really creep me out. Mind you, its not as bad as the Bloated Dire Spiders in Neverwinter Nights . . .

Ugh... that one room in Durlag's Tower, with the spiders and Web traps... :P

OOC: Okay, now you're just creeping me out. Giant Spiders are near the top of my list for reasons not to hop a portal to Faerun. :)

So, are you pausing to Identify magic items, or are you moving through the webs around the Mammoth Skeleton?

Alora favours identification (followed by memorising a lot of Slow Poison spells) but I guess it is up to our mages.

OOC: Identification sounds good if I've got the spell slots for it.

Jaheira is thankful that Alora's back to her normal insanity, as she found the Halfling far more interesting than the DunderHeads (a. k. a. Paladinials (to include want-to-be fake paladins)). "Spiders are a necessary part of the natural order," she professed, shifting to her 'knows all things natural' mode. "Save for when some addle-minded wizard tampers with that order." The results of which, of course, led to unusually sized arachnids. "When I find unnatural spiders, I'll kill the man what done it."

OOC: Alora will put in a bid for the Boots so she can be quiet as well as invisible (well her feet will be quiet - she will probably keep talking).

OOC: Nonsense. Elven boots can only be worn by elves. So the boots go to Aerie. But I guess half-elves can wear half of the boots so the left could go to neera and the right could go to Jaheria and everything would be logical.
OOC: Would that mean both Neera and Jaheira would gain one-half of the boots' bonuses?

What do elven boots do, anyway?

OOC: I thought they made you move quietly. With one boot you can hop quietly.

OOC: :) Y'all make me smile!

Elven Boots make you move very quietly, as much as silently.

"My heart would break, when I could not watch those pair of fluffy wonder of yours girl, but I won't deny the joy of a new dress from you either. If others agree of course."

yes yes girl you can have the boots. but do not make promises you do not intend to keep.
  • reedmilfamreedmilfam Member Posts: 2,808
"That is in her nature to do so," Jaheira told Anomen, for he certainly lacked the facilities to determine that without her help. "And what do you care of boots, anyway? Does not the nature of valuable items mean that you should not have want of them, or did you happen to forget that during all of your paladinial rant training?"

I am not here to start a philosophical debate on the nature of individuals. I am just merely stating that a lesser individual would take that statement and use it against her, and she should watch what she promises in the future.

If she doesn't understand that meaning, then she is at a loss, however, I did attempt to get through with her so I am suffice.
