The cabinet is pretty much empty at this point. Flora gets the key.
It takes several dunkings in the water to wash the poison out of Arkanis's eyes (he smells a lot better, too!), His eyes are red, the flesh around them swollen, and while he can see, his vision is cloudy and is going to take a while to recover. Right now, he's a -2 to hit.
You head back to the mosaic room, and the keyhole begins to glow blue-white as Alora gets close to it. The key fits in the lock. When you turn it, another keyhole comes into existence on the east wall.
The key fits in the second keyhole as well. You give it another turn, and the mosaics on the walls begin to lift off, turning into a spiral of bright colors that leave the walls, floor, and ceiling white. In the midst of the color swirl, a bright blue-white light appears and expands.
It forms into a long, silvery longsword floating upright in mid-air. The blue-white glow ebbs until it only comes from the blade of the sword. It continues to hang in mid-air.
As Arkanis pokes the sword, a man in black armor steps out of the wall and takes the sword in his hand. His black helm has no apparent face underneath it, but you feel it is glaring at your party.
After a moment of silence, the figure raises the sword and attacks.
(Surprise- the party was not expecting this, exactly, so the figure goes first.)

DM is rolling on the floor that Arkanis is better at fighting blind than with his eyesight!
The snake is dead.
Edwin sniffs. "Fool should stay blind. He may be more useful that way."
After that she will grab the gold key and search the cabinet thoroughly in case there is anything else she missed the first time.

While she is thinking about this she will take the door to the east and listen and check for traps before opening it.
He continues on. "idiots, I hope I do not have to do all their thinking for them."
