OOC: maybe Zando is a villain too? Just as Culum kind of was. Culum screwing Zando over doesn't automatically make Zando a good guy. Didn't Anomen detect evil on Culum while he was standing next to Zando? Doesn't this allow Anomen to know if Zando is evil too?
Anomen *did* Detect Evil on Zando. Zando is *not* evil. (I mean, in AD&D, there are ways around this, but your characters probably won't know that… yet.)
Alora feels the need to raise the level of the debate. "You've got a floating boulder; what's that all about? And how did you make those giants so small? I don't think they like being small. And why do you only wear blue is it your favourite colour or something?"
Zando laughs. "I haven't done a single thing to these creatures," he tells you. "They just appear here like that. There's a room on this level, and monsters just appear there. I had it closed off with an iron door to keep everyone safe. I can take you to see it if you like."
A room where monsters and animals just appeared out of thin air? It sounded like just a wizard's trick, but they had already seen plenty of bizarre things in Zando's theme park that the robed man did not count on. Odds were, he wasn't about to trap them, and this strange room must have something magical involved with it. Aerie didn't need much experience at the circus to know that where there was magic, there was also trouble, and lots of it.
He stands up and leads you back to the iron door that you found. He pulls a key on a chain out of the neckline of his robe and turns to you. "There may be something inside. Please, be careful." Then, he turns and unlocks the door.
Inside, it is a rather normal looking room. The walls are rough, not carved, and the eastern wall is very different from a normal wall. While gray like the rest of the rock, it shimmers slightly, as if silver dust had been sprinkled on it. but is completely contained within the rock. A few odd-looking insectile creatures are in one corner. Zando looks them over. "Hmm… Pennypedes," he mutters, looking at the metallic sheen of their skin. A Shiny golden moth is on one wall. "Solar Moth," Zando says after a moment.
The wall flashes, and a creature is, well, ejected is the best way to describe it, out of it. It's a jelly-like thing that is purple and smells like Jam. "A Grape Jelly."
It is good that you keep this room locked up. Perhaps it should stay that way. You will live longer. Lady Aerie, we have other matters that need to be attending to and we should not be dawdling here.
I don't want to even think about what happens, if this room remains closed for a long time. We should find a mage powerful enough to seize the teleportation spell, that is obviously powering this thing.
Jaheira didn't like to think what evils this monster generating device might be put to, as that was nearly as bad as the overwhelming good that a paladin generating device could do. "The balance," she muttered.
"But we can't just leave it. What if another monster like that ettin comes through and wrecks havoc again? Then Zando could be captured all over again, or someone else."
Aerie glanced again at the robed man. "Zando, did the ettin come from this room? Have you encountered anything else so dangerous?"
OOC: If this portal was in Baldur's Gate I would just stand around and farm the hell out of the monsters for the XP. See: Air Elemental Portal in underdark and Memphit portals in Chateaux Irenicus
"I fear that our slightly bearded friend has right this time, and we can't do anything else, what would help in this situation Mr. Zando. If we would have the rescources, we may consider your offer."
"Of course." Aerie paused, as a troubling thought just occurred to her. "Um... We know where the Uniducks go, but where is the Minitaur exhibit? And, um... Were they not allowed to be fed meat?"
"Oh good." She let out a sigh of relief. "Well, everyone, it seems we should return the animals to their exhibits. Yes?" And she looked to her party members to see if they were ready to go.

"Yes. Please, show us Zando," she decided.

Lady Aerie, we have other matters that need to be attending to and we should not be dawdling here.
We were duped into rescuing this fool. If he does not heed our advice and keep this door locked then his fate is in his own hands.
We have other matters that must be attended to.

These living creature should not be caged. In fact, I suggest we take the minituars with us as payment for your rescue.
