Or you could just ask the original artist for permission or maybe just have something arranged in private. The point is that the modified version of the image doesn't get redistributed without the original artist's consent.
The problem is that i don't know the original artist nor i know how to find him. The only hint is a name that i do not even am able to read on the picture.
I'm really not that good with pc, internet and such.

This is the best way to act, yes.

Eh, dont bother. The going rate forhigh quality pics can be 200 dollars or more. It is not like the pics are not worth that; put 20 hours into a pic and that is 10 dollars per hour salary. It is just that who can afford it?
This is my latest portrait. Malchior is a neutral good human abjurer(2)/fighter. Somewhat (maybe, I won’t tell for sure) inspired by the HBO series Knightfall, I wanted him to have a chainmail “hoodie”. He fights in chain or splint mail - with the paperdoll EE keepered into thief, to get the hoodie - and is going towards grand mastery in quarterstaves (for later use of Staff of the Magi).
Malchior prefers to hide his magical knowledge until the last moment. Then he often relies on wands and (spare) scrolls to soften up the enemy. Limited to three first level spells (six with the BG1 Ring of Wizardry), he memorizes those that can be cast well in advance of fights (removing his armor) and don’t need scaling by level to be effective, such as Shield, Protection from Petrification, Reflected Image or Protection from Evil.
Now in Chapter 5 and at level (2)/6, the party consists of Neera, Garrick, Coran, Faldorn and Yeslick.
Dressed in light armor only, and leaning on a simple wooden staff, he looked like a merchant’s city guard or maybe a well paid bouncer. Either way, an easy prey. So they advanced with confidence as well as stealth. They were mistaken on all accounts.
Without warning, he exploded into motion, his plain staff a blur of destruction, an artist’s brush painting the air with blood and pain, crushing skulls and greed alike. The blink of an eye later, five of the brigands were out cold on the ground. It was an impressive feat.
Still they had numbers, still they advanced.
“What a waste of resources”, he sighted as his hand went into one of his pockets, “but I suppose I can’t let them prey on more innocents”. They never saw him trigger the wand. But they sure felt its flaming fire, if only swiftly, burn their flesh to cinder.
Malchior brushed the ashes of his armor, unconsciously touched one of the rings on his left hand and went back to join his friends at the inn. Enough of fresh air for tonight, he thought, a dance with the lovely Neera awaited.
Wow. I am the first to admit that i'm not a genius of computer-related matters. Far from it. But i googled it, i searched on artstation... and i did not found it.
You instead founded it in less than 20 minutes. Amazing. What's your secret ?
See ? The original picture of this last image that i posted is impossible to find. And that's strange. I mean, we know the artist because online there are renditions of his drawing, but we can't find the author's original one...
Dwarven Oligarch by MrG-Art (aka LeFrenchBaguette) Also, have some industrial era dwarf (aka that Arcanum bullet-proof Minute Race). We all know how difficult it can get to find fitting ones for that legend.
I should have guessed the half-dragon bit from the length of the neck. She is however VERY similar to some of the tiefling illustrations that I have seen.

As @Artemius_I said, you had to source the artist and the picture when even posting it here.
Anyway, it's always good to show the right way of working with art in the Internet to any new person.

Can I interest you in some gobs? No? Ehh... I'll post them anyway. Because they're green. And being green is awesome!
i have a picture and i would like to ask you if some of you is able to do a BG2 whole figure, hi-res image for a warrior kind of elf.
There are 2 problems :
1- the picture i have, and that i'll post here, is only of her face.
2- i can't find the author of this picture, do you have any idea on how to find him ? I don't want to use his drawing without his/her permission.

But i ask you, then, do you know how to find pictures like the one i'm posting here now ?
I was able to understand that it was made by a certain chembo on deviantart / Bo Chen on art station.
But the original image can't be found on Deviantart / artstation. So, do you know a way to find it ?
It's another potential image for a bg2 character, probably a thief one

More really scaly scalies are always needed. Approved by Deekin.

I really like this portrait but I have no idea what D&D race it can be associated with... Little help?
There is a sub-race mod which includes tiefling. It is slightly buggy, but the bugs can be ironed out using EEkeeper.
She is however VERY similar to some of the tiefling illustrations that I have seen.

I may repeat myself here. But more scalies are always needed.
