Maybe we shouldn't take the money from the pouch. Because it probably belongs to whoever owns the clothes. And when he comes back to get dressed he will be angry.
OOC Alora is worried about the prospect of meeting an angry nudey man.
That would mean that having 10000gp in the game (not at all difficult to do in Baldur's Gate) would be equivalent to having around 50 million dollars in real life.
Okay, moving on... the back of the house is a landing, with some dangerously-unsafe looking stairs leading down, and a set of broken stairs leading up to a hole in the ceiling. Only six treads remain, although if Alora was to stand on Minsc's shoulders, she could probably get up there and look around.
"My mind is a wonder as to what manner of person would leave these clothes and pouch in such a place as this? Even my great intelect can not fathom such an odd happening."
Edwin rubs his chin.
"Perhaps we will meet with the owner of these items and get the chance to find out. Let us move on with our venture."
This is the attic. Lighting is irregular, provided by small holes in the roof. Alora is going to need to use her lantern. When she gets it out and lights it, she finds it is much like the storage room, only much, much larger. It's a T-shaped room that covers the entire house. Grimy cobwebs cover the walls and ceiling/roof and the floor is liberally strewn with dust, dirt and rubbish blown into the house through the holes in the roof.
The floor is liberally heaped with rubbish and bits of broken furniture. There are two large sacks in the northwest corner of the room, and more items to the southeast and southwest.
I'll tie the rope round my waist and get Minsc to hold the other end, then being careful to check that the floor will hold me I will go and look at the sacks in the northwest corner.
The sacks are big and round and full... of more worn, torn clothing and rags. To the southeast, you see a headless- human-like figure... a tailor's form. To the west, you see something tucked up in the roof. Sort of oval-ish and dark.

"Perhaps we should send Kivan to feed it grubs, or to bore it to death with incessant comments."
"Well, at least I'm trying to contribute. You're not very useful at all. For all your 'wealth of intellect' you claim to possess, you can't even identify a bottle of run of the mill antidote."

Edwin watches Alora scramble up the big warrior with the small mind.
"Is it worth our time to investigate up there?" Edwin calls out to Alora.
