I'll shoot at the swordsman attacking me. If I miss again and he closes to melee, I'll drop the bow and use the venom dagger. If I drop the swordsman, I'll shoot at the mage next.
That accursed Magic User is obviously dangerous, so Branwen would cast Command on him, hoping if nothing more then to get him out of commission for a round, maybe two.
OOC If she choses the command, why don't we go with down, which I am used to the 'die' command XD but I don't know if that is just a 3e rule or not.
OK these guys nearly dropped Minsc in a round, I'm definitely casting Sleep. Are all the bad guys within the radius? If not I will cast centered on the Magic User since he is an obvious threat. I'm debating whether to use Kimble's Confusion since he only has one and there may be more enemies on the ship.
Command is always good for a laugh, get him to do an Irish jig!
"Go for the eyes, Boo. Go for the eyes!" Minsc stops his charge and swings the Sword of Boo at the nearest enemy (the swordsman attacking him), hoping to go down fighting, if he had to go down at all. His hope was that another hero would draw the enemy's attention and give him a chance to pull back so that he could come again with bigger swords.
OOC - healing, anyone? Thought Full Plate, Packing Steel would be enough. Maybe not... @LadyRhian - preferential target is the mage
The party wins initiative. Minsc misses, Mazzy misses. Imoen misses both shots, and Alora clips the Pirate Captain smartly on the head with her sling stone. Her second shot misses. Branwen commands the Pirate Mage to go "Down", but he just laughs at her (made his save). Xan casts "Sleep" on the Pirates, and the two cutlass-wielding men fold like cheap paper. The mage rocks back on his heels, but is unaffected, and the pirate captain is barely even fazed. Minsc also folds like a badly-used piece of onionskin paper, and lays on the deck, snoring.
The pirate captain, ignoring Minsc, hits Mazzy with a straight on blow and pain screams through her body. (Takes 10 points damage). The Pirate Mage raises his arms and casts a spell, and white stringy stuff shoots from his hands to pin you all in place. (Web).
Next round. You have initiative. What do you want to do?
If I am still able to use my sling I will aim at the Pirate Mage. If I am not I will attempt to get out of the web (heading forwards towards the pirates)
Minsc will dream of Hamster Warriors, in full plate and packing steel, as they prepare to bring righteous vengeance (and biting of eyeballs) to evil everywhere!
Sorry. Night class this evening. Stupid work interrupting my gaming time... If I can move enough to shoot, I will. If I'm really truly stuck, I'll try to get loose. If I succeed, I'll try to hide in the shadows and work my way into backstab or coup de grace range for the sleeping pirates.
Okay. Web takes an 18 Strength to get out of. On the other hand, Xan with his blue-flaming Moon Sword, could probably cut you free, but that would take time.
Mazzy drinks a potion of healing for 7 points returned. Imoen fires her bow at the pirate captain, and hits him twice for 15 points of damage total. Alora hits the Captain with another blow from his sling. Xan casts Color Spray and takes out the Pirate Captain, but the mage is still up. Kimble casts Confusion, and the Mage finally succumbs to a spell!
However, you hear the sound of running feet. Your battle was apparently not unnoticed. You have two rounds to prepare. Xan can free himself and one other person in that time.
I will I be able hit everyone with a bless from my current postion? If so I cast bless on the party, and depending if Xan frees me, then I'll prepare to go into the fray, if not, then I'll use my sling.
Okay, the captain is now dead. The mage is wandering around, bumping into the taffrail. Alora takes him out with a blow between the eyes. Xan frees himself and Mazzy. Branwen, who is already casting Bless on the party, pulls out her sling afterwards. Imoen strikes down the two sleeping swordsmen and turns her head towards the running noises. Four men come running onto the poop deck and smile at the sight of so many of you entangled in the web. "Look... presents all wrapped up for us." the leader says.
Branwen misses her first sling shot, while hitting the leader with her second. Imoen misses with both bow shots, and Alora hits with both sling shots, and Mazzy hits one of the men with her sword, but doesn't do enough damage to kill him. Actions, Xan?

EDIT: Oops, forgot we couldn't move.
