Game looks extremely promising! My only regret at this point is not raising my pledge to get the signed collectors edition. I mean just look at this! (Chris Avellone's twitter has tons more pics)
There will *probably' be a new Beta version out tomorrow, said Brandon Adler. So it's not like 100% sure, but it would be cool to do one more round of testing ...
The last beta patch has 25 new portraits. They have also cleaned up some of the previous ones. The portraits in the 480 build aren't all of the portraits that we will get to choose from at launch, though.
^^ But they are cool, most of them ... Also more new music, Lots of improvement in performance. Game is running smooth. Nice graphics, and I think the combat is a little closer to what I wanted ... Can't wait to see the full game ... : )

Not sure about manual but if you just want to read a bit more about the game mechanics and the world's background you can refer to PoE wiki, http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Pillars_of_Eternity_Wiki I have to admit, I'm too impatient, so I've read almost all of it.
Gettin' excited about this game. I've been checking the forums more obsessively the last week then is probably healthy. I really hope they release the manual today.
