I think you both have a valid point and not a valid point. For the valid point, yes of course, you are technically right, For the invalid point, let me paraphrase my bossman "I know it can become better. It always can! But you HAVE to publish. You HAVE to progress. At some point, you have to ask yourself, is this the hill I want to die on? Because you are in so deep in your project, you think it is the big picture. But it is not. The big picture is your next accomplishment!".

I don't think this is their "big accomplishment", by any means. I think this is, quite frankly, from a business perspective, a way to generate more funds without much risk.
NWN2's graphics aren't on par with those of the N64, but the first NWN's graphics have a fairly similar polygon count. Maybe two or three times that of a typical N64 game, with relatively primitive textures and shading, comparable to a Playstation game if not the N64.
Eh, like I already said, why this focus on vector count? I am not entirely sure PoE have more vectors than NWN2. In fact, my guess is they have less. In fact, fairly sure they have 2,5 D, or 2D and 3D mix or whatever you wanna call it. But is it prettier? You better believe it; http://cdn.gamer-network.net/2015/usgamer/pillars1.jpg
Myth2, a 1998 game... let me spell that out NINETY-EIGHT game.., which have 0, yes you read that right, ZERO vectors (it is 2D sprites cast on 3D environment) is prettier than NWN2; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wi4IzZwXrE
NWN2 is ugly, plain and simple.
Edit; What I mean to say is, I do not know the technical specs of NWN (1). But I know it does not hurt my eyes. NWN2 does..! ... in the same way FF7 does. Yes, yes, I love FF7, but truth be told, if it was not because it is otherwise a good game, I would avoid it like the plaque, due to graphics. NWN I do not avoid due to graphics, but due to unbalanced gameplay. NWN2 I do not avoid due to unbalanced gameplay.., but mb I would, I never made it that far due to crashes AND graphics urgh.
I'd love to see an Axis & Allies game I could play on my computer or phone. I played the old PC version a long time ago and had a lot of fun with it. I'd really love to see computer versions of the older Avalon Hill games though. 3rd Reich, War & Peace, Squad Leader, Guns of August, D-Day, any of those would be awesome! Ah the memories...
Oh man! Around 10 new D&D based video games in the next two years?! I almost swooned when I read that. Even if only 2-3 of them are of interest to me, that's a lot and I will be a very happy person. Plus possible TV series and movies. So awesome.
And yeah, I'd love me some Axis & Allies and other similar games for the PC/Steam. Hope they won't be just for mobile platforms, because I don't care to play my games on anything other than my gaming desktop with its large 4k display.
Well, the past is the past and cannot be changed. This new guy running WotC seems to be a rather intelligent and sensible sort, in my view, and 5e has indisputably been an amazing success for both WotC and D&D. So I choose to be hopeful.

And yet, WotC still treats 5E as the lesser brother to their card games...
I know why they do, but that doesn't make it any better for D&D fans.

The movie starring Justin Whalin and Marlon Wayans? That you can speak ill of.
It was a mess...
I know why they do, but that doesn't make it any better for D&D fans.
Oh well.. Happy new year folks
