I wish I could tell you more about it. But you can watch today’s livestream for more hints.
According to Trent, “Alan is doing stuff and things for us”. If you want to stay updated about all the Beamdog news and sales, sign up for the Beamdog newsletter.
I also heard Beamdog are going to do a panel at PAX West (August 31 - September 3, 2018) and preparing to make a wide variety of announcements there! Phil says some of them might be “outside of our usual playbox”.
From the July 6th stream it sure sounds like the next Beamdog game will indeed be Axis & Allies EE. It would certainly be better than NwNEE and I may be convinced to buy it, but it's still very disappointing that it won't be a new original game.

ask and ye shall have a not insignificant but still pretty low chance of receiving
the game contains... people!
Sounds like Whac-A-Mimic, where said mimic already had people for lunch. No doubt a game for the whole family! Truly. Some mimics are indeed large enough to gulp down an entire familiy.

Huh, this @bengoshi guy. The announcement took some time, and happened today, instead of PAX West.
And I know what many of you think: "Pass, this is not my type of game". I can say - I hear you. This probably was my first reaction many months ago, BUT. I gave the game a chance. And became hooked by it. Fully.
As soon as I started playing against other people, it became my daily hobby. Probably the best thing I like is that you can discuss strategy, and moves, and all, with your friends, and then the dice cames into action.
In fact, to be frank, if Beamdog doesn't start making quality of gameplay improvements to NWN: EE, I might just stop supporting them. I've been a very vocal supporter of Beamdog, ever since they started making EE games. Just my 2 cents.
I want my 5th edition game already! I don't have High hopes if Baldur's gate and NWN go to consoles. Console gamers never cared about western RPGs and never will!
I think we all want Icewind Dale 2: Enhanced Edition... or maybe just Icewind Dale 3?
Dunno about others, but I'd settle for Icewind Nights 2. ;P
@Kamigoroshi That's great, but I'd also like an Icewind Torment: Baldurized Edition.
No love for Darksun and Ravenloft?
@mlnevese Sorry, I'm still unfamiliar with those settings. Only ever got exposed to the Forgotten Realms, thanks to the EEs. What games use those settings? I might try them later.

Ever read Rip van Winkle?
Not to the depth of BG at least. One cannot deny the success of titles like Skyrim however.
