Where have all the Spambots gone?

RavenslightRavenslight Member Posts: 1,609
Where have all the Spambots gone? It’s been so blissfully quiet on the forum this week, without their constant chatter to sort through.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of our wonderful moderators. Not only for their vigil in this matter, but for all the work they do here everyday. Without their generosity and dedication this forum would deteriorate into the chaos that so many others have.

Thank you for keeping this special little gem of the internet the well run, friendly, accepting and inviting place that it is.

    To quote @KampfKaninchen from another thread - "Seems like Black magic specialist Molvi Ji finally revealead some of his powers, we shouldn't have provoked him."

    To fix my marriage up?
    Isn't there a front page full of shameless plugs?
    Late at night she tosses and turns and dreams of what she needs

    @Ravenslight needs a spambot~

    @FinneousPJ

    While the thought of a lovely dream conjures up some interesting thoughts… A spambot is definitely not involved in any of them. :)

    Though I could see one figuring prominently in a nightmare.

    By the way, I do love the song Holding out for a Hero, by Bonnie Tyler. I assume that is the tune you were thinking of?

    @Ravenslight Yes, immediately when I saw the title :D

    Why is that song not in the 80s music thread? I'll go fix that now.
  • sparkleavsparkleav Member Posts: 871
    Ah it was already there, now it's there twice hehe

    Thanks @BillyYank that's exactly where I read the title going as well, but your words are better :)

    It's the balance happening. We used black magic against black magic spammers so now we're being spammed by light and happiness.. :)

    (Bringing a finger to her lips, she signals @lefreut ) Shhhh… They are merely scouts, looking for vulnerabilities. If you can flank them from the north and distract them, I’ll Fireball them from here. They will not leave here alive!

    I never understood why the spambots advertised Indian black magic love spells to the Beamdog forums. What about the community here sounds like it would be interested in that?

    Demographically speaking, the average BG2 fan, in my experience, is a friendly, middle-aged, college-educated, married European male with a left-leaning political bent and a history of working in the US military.

    Obviously, if anyone is going to advertise to us, they should advertise :cookie: instead.

    Wow good description of the demographic. I guess this is home. Rec sir.
