Exactly, power struggles and bad management. I mean what did Big I expect? Heh. That's like putting Trashcan Man from The Stand in charge of the your collection of firebombs and wands of fire, in your new house, something is bound to get out of hand. Too much temptation.
@Zaghoul - I want to see that awkward conversation afterwards.
@ZaramMaldovar - whatever their feelings are, Irenicus spends some time and effort preparing Imoen for her, and she must be aware of that, right? It's not just reckless, it's suicidal. And I wouldn't blame her alignment for that. Sarevok was CE as well, but I don't see him doing something like this.
I think its implied that Bodhi's predatory nature is getting the better of her. She even kept abducting shadow thieves after Irenicus had enough for his plans.
Mage logic: "Hmm, I think an enemy thief might be lurking nearby. Should I cast Stone Skin? Nah, let me just cast True Sight first to be sure, it only takes 8 seconds, what's the worst that coul-" *gets head caved in by Staff of the Ram*
To be fair, they might not want to turn their skin into stone for several hours unless forced to. Without Dispel magic it would kill the mood of any date/job interview/family dinner they had planned. Of course, Staff of the ram through your skull is quite the mood killer too.

Unless of course the mages in questions are either rockers to the core, or some real hardy rock pokemon trainers by trade. In that case they'd probably want to be hardboiled as stone 24h a day.
1. Cast Chain contingency - Condition: See enemy - Spells: Abi-Dalzim's horrid wilting x3. 2. See your old archenemy from preschool in the grocery store. 3. "Oh shi-"
Back to Baldur's Gate logic: Near the main road there is the wood of sharp teeth. It is a huge forest. To remain hidden the bandits make their camp in the woods.
They then proceed to make their camp directly next to the road. With lit fires and giant tents.
How did they expect this camp to remain hidden? And how didn't the Flaming Fist find it?
Alcohol, being a toxin as we all know, should be completely annuled by any poison immunity. There's a reason why the consume of booze is called "alcohol intoxication" after all.
Wwweeellllll... marijuana has negligible toxicity (ignoring purely mental side-effects, just poison) and is still quite capable of intoxication via psychoactive chemistry. The word 'intoxicate' is rather misused I'd say.
Okay, I'm close to finish of SoD once again, and it still hurts me how stupid that is. Here's the scene: yesterday Big Hero(ine), the guy who saved your city, and then basically prevented a war, wandered into literal Hell and slained very nasty fiend, ending crusade. After celebrating, you see him uncionsious, next to murdered Duke's daughter. What's reasonable thing to do? "Hey, if he/she really killed her, he wouldn't just lie for us to find, right? You know, he/she already was framed, and turned out to be innocent, maybe we'll give him a chance? After all, we owe him that much". I'm kidding, of course. Bence already holds idiot ball, so whatever, you're getting into chains. You know? I wish game at least gave us option to fight anybody right there, even if it was infinty waves of enemies, like in Black Pits, leading eventually to game over. I hate when game makes my character surrender when I don't want to. I could get zapped by Eltan, Gorion, even Candlekeep Warden, so why can't I go out in blaze of glory? EDIT: Also, the duke himself admits that Baldur's Gate diviners can't see what happened. And he really things Charname, at best 10 or something level wizard could pull it off? EDIT: Also #2 - Hooded Man is so annyoing in SoD. He can't be revealed, because we learn about him in SoA, so he just appears, mumbles something cryptic and goes away. It would be so much better if he was removed from the game, and all left would be those little notes - in the myconids cave, Mysterious Figure, smuggling Sarevok's sword to Alkhatla...
@Artona Sorry if I'm coming across as a Grammar Nazi, it's just in my nature to impulsively correct people, you don't have to go out of your way to fix minor details.
Don't worry, no offense taken. I wrote that comment in quick break from SoD, with game "alt+tabbed", and that's not good habit. BTW, I think I'll never get Forgotten Realms' names right. For a good chunk of my life I thought it's "Elminister", instead of "Elminster". EDIT: To keep it on topic - Cealar logic: I'll reminder hero of Baldur's Gate that poison I used against his sister *could* be lethal, but wasn't! That will surely convince him to join me!

Me too. And I have probably written five different spellings whilst trying to write out Rasaad, most prominently Rassad, Raasad, Raasad and I cba to correct myself. Writing this now I still don't know which is correct but I believe it is Rasaad.
@Skatan - to be honest I never really thought how you write his name and now I'm scared to check how many times I did it wrong. Mine personal arch-nemesis is Athkatla. Or, as my friend calls it, Althlhkthlathkhtla. :>

Defeats the armies of hell with no soul, a couple fireballs and a stick.
Dorn: Walking's boring. Let's spar!!
Mage charname with 12 str: That sounds great

1. Spell Trigger-Fireball x3
2. Enter Old Bullies from High School

Shouldn't the Watchers at Candlekeep arrest you immediatly if you attempt to perform any hostilies within the walls of Candlekeep rather than later?
Still gets intoxicated by a beer or two.
To be fair, being poisoned and being drunk aren't the same thing.
Reminds of 'lecture' I was on in high school about dihydrogen monoxide XD
True story.

No arguments on the silliness of the end of SOD, but you may want to check for several misspelled words in your post, mostly notably Athkatla.
