    Hey.i came across this mod called Monastic Orders of Faerun and wondered if you could try installing it. I would upload it, but its not letting me..

    Easy. Cyric was only a Monk Avatar anyway (just his colours). I am playing with the modfile/saved game at the moment but having difficulty with the Monks requests. I will put up what I have done later today and let you know what I have been able to do. Monastic Orders seemd to have installed with no probs.

    Awesome. Yeah i figured out that the avatar i thought was Cyric was actually the Renald Bloodscalp (shadow thief) avatar. I hope everything with the monk goes well lol. I was gonna ask you, i downloaded a file that makes the base katana look like i am wielding a 2hndr. Can this be done for all katanas? I uploaded the file so you can take a look. When a katana is in 1 hand it looks like a 2hndr version and the character also holds it like one. This is something ive been trying to find for a while, its the reason i havent made a samurai yet lol. Well that and there doesnt seem to be any samurai kits available..that i know of.

    I also found a couple kit packs that have a some goodies. Just install what will fit/work n dump the rest. I was only able to attach one of the kit files, the other is too large lol (like 68mb zipped). Its called Derats Unused Kits. This is the only stuff i can find that i havent seen before. I think we have tried the JKits before but i dnt remember..

    @Xhoblaim, I have uploaded the latest version for you to play with...

    The edits so far:
    Install Monastic Orders

    Thalia - Nymph
    Hezzak - Djinni (No Legs)

    Draken - Cyric Avatar (not given but he is a Monk_Male_Human so it would be just the colours that are different)
    PoL - Leah Redsun/Demon Witch (Demon Wraith?) avatar (haven't played BP2 yet before, so hope I have the right one)

    Monk -UAI

    Still playing with:
    Valen - Weaken Shadows, faster attacks, more strength
    - Shapechange - More strength, faster attacks


    Monk
    - Give him innate abilities of all touch spells, all monk skills, make him a normal monk class, and color him all white with gold accessories (not the shoulders).
    -Give him "Dual" fists
    -Give his fists a glow effect or "on hit" special effect, like when his melee hits, sparks fly lol
    -Melf's Minute Metors for innate skill, but looks like Fire Seeds when thrown with more dmg.
    -Increase how often he does the kick animation

    [Have given him some spells but most of the touch spells are Mgae only and I need to go through and edit all the spells to be inate. Do you have any particular spells in mind?]


    For the above post:
    - We do have JKits already installed. A lot of kits have been removed due to classes with other kits.
    - TwoHandedKatana - Tweaks Anthology has a component for Two-Handed Katanas. I have installed it in this update. To change the Katana to Two-Handed, activate the weapon, go into the backpack and select Weild Two-handed. You will need to put it back into your hands again. To make it One-Handed, active weapon, go to backpack and select Weild One-Handed. The same (not installed yet) can be done for Bastard Sword and Axes if you want.
    - For the DeRats Kits, unfortunately there were errors during the installation for a number of kits. The log however is in French so I can't decypher it... I removed it for this package.

    For the monk i just want touch abilities. If you use your fists to perform the attack i want it if there are more than 5 touch abilities then just give him 5 random cool lookin touch skills. For his range ability, give him somethin that does good dmg but looks like the beholders projectile (they shoot it all the time).

    Im missin the katana addition, tried to work it and got nothin. Axes would be nice as well :smiley: .

    Will the katanas use 2hnd style or single?
    Well whatever the case, give my monk the ability to use them as well (proficiency) lol.

    Yo @Gus i got another question, i noticed that the Redsun avatar has a lil green tint to her color and ive seen one thats more black, if you can, could you give that avatar instead? I also noticed she doesnt have a shadow lol. I went to BP2 and seen that she actually doesnt have one, but the other one in SoA, Watchers Keep, does. I wonder if the darker version loses her shadow when the avatar is being reskinned..

    Yo @Gus take a look-see at this thread on the 2hnd katanas. The tweaks anthology only changes it to looks like normal 2hndrs. Someone put the code for all katanas to have the curved blade for 2hnd use i think..

    @Xhoblaim, I will attach what I am up to...

    Monk
    - Dual Fist, no luck. The fist already shows as a fake two-handed weapon...
    - Melf's Minute Metors - Can't get to display in innate area (still trying though)
    - I have increased kick animation, but it comes at the expense of hand animation..

    Added the animation for the Katana and added a Katana to one Char to test. Appears to work only for that Katana (non Magical). If you have a particular Katana in mind, I could set the animation to this.

    Working on the range spell for the monk but as you might have guessed, we are quite busy at the moment and things are moving slowly...

    btw: you might want to use @Gusinda instead of Gus. I think Gus might be a long forgotten one of mine (but I can't remember). If it was, I don't use it any more and if it isn't, then Gus might not be aware of what is going on... :)

    Edit: For some reason, the .zip files are refusing to upload. I shall try again later.

    Edit 2: Still not uploading. I will redo them and see what happens then.

    Edit 3: Still no luck with .zip. I renamed them to .txt and they uploaded... rename the second and third file (the larger size) back to zip and you should be fine.

    @Gusinda Alrighty :smiley: i had a feeling you got pretty busy.
    For the katana, use the Celestial one (yellow blade). But hook it up(color wise) with a red blade, blue blade, and a purple blade. Tytyty,

    So i came across some funny stuff.. Maybe you used an old modfile? Because Valens shapechange is gone and is now the shade lord lol. If you made any changes to the monk, i cant see them. For the most part everything is the same as before. Maybe do the monk colors rq so i can judo chop fools with style while i wait? Lmao.

    Thats strange the files dont upload.. Ive been having this issue as well.. For example, the file i uploaded was a .7z zip file and it wont allow me to upload, but when i change it to .zip, it works...hmmm. Also, my Dakkon blade upgrade mod doesnt seem to work when tossed in the override (maybe it needs pc to install). Can you put the 2hnd animation on that katana also? Might as well since its upgradeable.

    @Xhoblaim, I have uploaded the current version and saved game. You are right about Valen. I shall fix that up for the next upload. Must have happened when I rebuild the modfile...

    I have installed the Dakkon mod and worked on the following:
    Katanas - Two-Handed and additional colours. On hit effect now 25%, was 5%.
    PoL - I have tried both Redsun & Demon Wraith. They are both the same for colours.
    Monk - Dressed in White/Gold. Melf's Minute Metors as ablility, Fireseed look + more damage.
    - no luck at all with the on-hit effect with fists.

    Playing with the touch spells now.

    Rename the files back to .zip to install.

    Lol that MmM spell on the monk is pretty cool and gave me a cool idea, think you could do like a call lightning version? Or somethin electrical lookin for spell/hit animation. I was gonna ask about this for the katanas. My samurai dude i made is like electric in his skills, and my katana does the fire animation for the

    @Xhoblaim, attached are the latest... same as before, change the .txt to .zip.

    I have added a range of touch spells and fixed Valen for his shapechange.

    I will see what can happen for something electrical. You didn't finish your katana statement. Are you saying that the katana does Fire animation (even when it is Two-Handed or only Single Handed)?

    @Gusinda Oh im sry bro, i must have fallen asleep typing lmao.
    Ok back to the katana: it has a 5% chance to deal fire dmg right? When it hits, theres a fire animation that looks like one of irenicus spells. I was wondering if that can be changed to an electrical animation instead (for the blue blade). Also with the monk, can you color him the silvery white? The one we used for PoL. And for the character concepts, i need that balduran plate (the one with the cool black color) in red and blue but with that same faded look like the black one. If this fails, a dark red n blue will do.

    My samurai dude ill upload later today when i have more time. Hes gonna need the duskblade spells lvls 1-3 and his avatar changed to that of the bard. When searching for armor that looks samurai-ish, i noticed that the thief and bard avatars look different from one another when wearing plate. The bard looks much better than the thief because theres no baggy sleeves lol.

    Man everytime i ask you for an ability, you always make it super awesome with somethin extra that just gives me so many ideas lol. Like the monks projectile, i didnt know it could aoe O_o hahaha. I wonder of something like that can be done with the poison spell :smiley: . ill stop here so not to get too carried away haha.

    Ok i jus did a lil goofin with the monk and a idea popped in my head for "on hit" animations to work... I wonder if you can give the monks fists like a permanent chill touch, but reduce the dmg to like 0 or something and booyow, on hit sparks lol. Jus an idea, thought id share..

    Here is the save i promised earlier lol. Quick recap:
    Valen: can you make the shadows attack higher and faster and also the shapechange.
    Monk & Kenshi: same as the previous post. Kenshi is the samurai guy lol.
    Grimlocke: jus need some avatar changes. can you turn him (pun intended) into a vampire? Ghaal would be perfect lol.

    I also put a Elminster and Lavok avatars in there for comparison. I did the planar sphere last night and noticed the lavok avatar i have is different from the one in the sphere. The one i have is way larger and has different colors, the one in the sphere is smaller and has dark (if not black) colors. Wonderin if you could see about getting that sleeker Lavok appearance? Mines too bulky for a mage lol. If you can, dupe grimlocke and slap it on him.

    Elminster: im tryin to get one that i can change the colors on, been tryin for a while with no luck. Was gonna color him black :smile: .

    @Xhoblaim, haven't had a chance to look at the previous request other than some scoping... so some quick Qs:

    The Katana (assuming you mean Celestial Fury) gives this damage: 'Shocking Blow: 5% chance of an extra 20 electrical damage to hit target'. It is likely that this: 'Booming Thunder: Hit target must save vs. Spell or be stunned for 1 round' might be giving the flame effect at the base of the target (I may not be the best person at reading these things...). However, I could change that visual effect for the Blue Katana to be something electrical looking...

    So far as the poison goes... I have played a Mage/Assassin and can say that the added poison to the Metors has the effect you may be looking for. Who is the character that you want for the poison?

    @ Gusinda You are right on the money with the katana. Call lightning or that irenicus electric spell animation would be awesome. The poison spell is gonna go on my druid, shes not in that save, ill put her up after the previous changes are applied. The idea for the poison spell is pretty much a green animation for MmM (somethin cool) thats an aoe poison attack. If Grimlocke can get that sleeker Lavok look, hes gonna use the poison spell also.

    Also, can you change Valens summon animation from the creepy alien eggs to something nicer with maybe some purple in the animation? The eggs seem so outa place lmao. They also turn on me when hit, can we switch that off as well?

    Major issue report: Chaos Sorc is causing some serious slow down. I noticed the install order was a lil different, which may have contributed to the slow down. Just a guess...

    @Xhoblaim, what exactly is happening/slowing down? I think the only recent addition was the Dak'kon mod (which was the version prior). There shouldn't have been any changes to mod order install between the last two. Perhaps it is some animation? The only change for the last was the touch spells on the monk. Could you try the version previous and see if the slowdown is happening with that as well? We should be able to track it down...

    Edit: Yeah its like that in the past 2 modfiles. Not sure why... Its strange.

    Edit 2: ok there may be a big issue.. This problem with the slow down is going back as far as modfile 28, Still gotta check 27. Also, i have located an indication of something changing drastically elsewhere as well. From modfile 29a-32 there is a discrepancy in kit information when i go to import a character, for example, Hezzak's class should read Spellshaper, it instead reads "idusgvdixndbebdiv" lol. And its only like this for the wild magic kits. I sense a conflict with whatever was recently added.

    Edit 3: ok 27 is having an issue with slow down as well..

    OK, had a play. All I did was to change the avatar for the Sorc (random), then change it back to Mage Female Elf again and all worked. Attached is the result. Let me know how you go. It's working on the latest modfile.

    How do you select the appearance of your characters? Hex edit or select it upon char creation?

    Good to see we are back to uploading .zips again. Wonder what happened...

    @Gusinda Lol ikr, i use the normal character creator. I have no idea how to use hex lol.

    Heres what i did: loaded the save you uploaded, everything is normal (weird). I made a new character, everything is normal again.. I even loaded the character in different saves to be sure and we are good. I noticed if you go to the status page and scroll down, you will notice ALOT of text. Which to me, is an indication that there is still a conflict somewhere.. But nothing too bad as everything is working (or is it? Could be why there was the eventual slow down.). What i have come to realize is that wherever there is text in the game, in a place it shouldnt be, theres a conflict somewhere. When we did the kit Installations, this happened frequently, but worked out in the end (thank god lol).

    This also reflects on currently made characters as well. If i load modfile 28, Hezzak's class will read spellshaper, then load 29a-31 and his class now reads "sihebh" (which i mentioned earlier). Heres the kicker: if you reload 28 his class reads as normal and theres no extra text. Interesting huh?

    Edit: Yo shes fine in SoA but once i load her to BP2 its slow motion again. Havent tried ToB yet, but theres definitely something going on.

    @Xhoblaim, I will give it a go the way you do it to replicate the prob and see if I can find the cause...

    wrt the Wildmage, I was having a look at that yesterday and found that all the out of place text seems to belong to the Wildmage mod. I will try to reinstall in a different order to see if that sorts it out.

    @Xhoblaim, playing around the saved game at the moment and found some interesting things. Most of the text that appears in the record is related to Magic Resistance (MR). If I remove all of the items that provide MR and remove the effects for MR, the record displays correct. Also, if I removed the MR from the Chaos Sorcerer (slowtest), the game works as proper speed.

    I created some chars that are similar to your chars (Wildmage etc) in a new save, gave some items that provide MR and the record displayed correctly.

    I just need to narrow down how they chars are receiving MR without any items. Are you able to add MR/effects etc in Android without an editor? Perhaps potions / spells that provide permant effects?

    The Wildmage still displays incorrect title, but that is likely related to something else, the spell that is used to make him a Spellshaper, or the pointer in dialog.tlk was updated with a different mod. Still playing here. I can get him to display the correct title by recasting the spell that made him a spellshaper initially.

    @Gusinda i havent checked the MR thing, but last i remember it was working fine. Check this out though, if you make a male chaos sorc, everything is fine O_O. Only the female causes the slow down. Interesting.. Tested this inside n out, even did a complete solo run. I also remember that i never have made a female chaos sorc until now.. So this issue could be as old as time itself lmao. If we can figure it out, cool, but if not, then oh well. I dont wanna lose that kit cuz its awesome :smiley: . So ill make due with just the male if need be.

    Ill have a look at the MR thing today.

    @Xhoblaim, tried making both male and female and had no problems. I then allocated everything that your original female elf had and still couldn't replicate the slow down. Your saved game does have the slow down, removing the MR (from both equipment and effects) fixed her pace though. Strange as...

    I tried in SoA, ToB and BP for both sexes with no slow down.

    When you start your game, do you bring in your extra items though a Multiplayer game? If so, could you upload that save and I will try same.
