Hello guys. Since Vaga is out cold, I checked the google doc to kill of some time and refresh my memory. I noticed in the inventory three items that deserve to be distributed and especially the broom for flying and the wand of levitation. I don't know the limits for using the wand (class/INT/UMD restrictions?) but if Fiona and Khaled take one each this means all of us have decent ways of flying, all except Vaga but he has the ring of jumping and my use that or be carried by Fiona with her STR gauntlets. So as soon as this battle is over (if we win it ) Khaled and Fi should take one each, Khaled the wand and Fi the broom I guess since Khaled is part mage. More fitting for him to use the wand
Also I had forgot we added some skills, ie disarm and knockdown for my Vaga. Did we all agree on that we are allowerd per @nimran 's rules to use skills as well or not?
Also, the necklace of fireballs seems a waste not to equip and use as well. Not sure who should use it, maybe Khaled or Guston for some added AoE from ranged?
Cheers mate, now take down that Giant and heal Vaga! hehe..
I'm okay with taking the broom and turning Fiora into a literal halfling missile.
Take the Hat of Disguise as well and disguise as a witch, hehehe A tiny, missile-witch charging straight into enemies riding a broom of fury would be a fierce sight indeed!
I have the necklace of fireballs at present... Actually... Can I take a bead and stuff it up the giants bum? What are the rules of stuffing things up bums? Would we need to do a skill check? Would it be a pick pocket or a persuade check? Do I get a skill bonus as a giant has a giant bum? @Nimran I need answers because I think Anduin would do it...
Guston jumps a little bit at Anduin’s screeching, as he looks up from Vaga’s bloodied near-corpse. With a shrug of futility, he looks at the giant wall of hardened rock-flesh, then looks at his puny knife. He doubts very much its blade is long enough to get past the hill giant’s mat of filthy back hair. He puts the dagger down and pulls out his +1 bow. He’s better with the bow anyway. Sneaking into the shadows, taking adavantage of the screaming and commotion, he tries to “backstab” using his bow and arrow. With a shrug of hopelessness as his boils pop, he lets fly...
Vaga slowly regains conciousness, but is broken and bloodied. He crawls up on his hands and knees, then up on his feet. He rocks back and forth, still not fully clear in his head. He knows a swing like that again will kill him. He has nothing to attack from range, so he searches for stones on the ground to use and throw while staying outside of the giant's reach, not engaging in melee.
Can I use a round to attack with a pebble/stone? Or maybe a search check first round and then attack in second round? You decide @nimran.
Guston is quite surprised that his puny arrow made a dent in the creature’s hide. “I... I.. I did it!” he cries. Then, seemingly abashed, he looks around, “I mean of course that we did it...” A boil pops in his nervousness.
"So finally all ends well and fine, And our current quest resolved seemingly. Yet more loose ends we still must entwine, For the town is in danger certainly."
*Nanna picks herself up. Her teeth still clenched. She pulls out her club and thumps the hill giants corpse.*
Never!
*Thwack*
Hurt!
*Smack*
My!
*Crack*
BABIES!!!
*Crunch*
*Nanna casts a healing spell on herself before finding Vaga to cast a healing spell on him and everyone else who needs healing (if spell slots are available of course).*
I never saved them... Didn't even try... I need to find the sword before more die...
Vaga kneels down again. Nanna is walking around the round healing everyone and he waits his turn. He breathes heavily and shuts his eyes in contemplation. It was a difficult battle but it still went surprisingly well.
"Maybe you gree... ahem.. perceptive fellas should scout around the room for spoils of war? Perhaps there's something there that can strengthen us for the inevitable battle."
He then returns his mantras and remain calm. And still. His creed and honor stopping him from participating in such an undertaking even if he would like to.
*Nanna's anger disperses at Fiora's touch and is replaced with self-disgust.*
Has anyone seen Harvey? Have we saved the young slip of a girl?
There are Orcs on the march y'know... Never going to save them at this rate... Probably have me kill them as well... Not a good solution to problems killing people.... What's wrong with a bit of talking? Can be very mentally challenging talking... I'm all for talking... I'm talking now... No need for killing... Killing just sends souls to the gods so they can be made into slaves... Talking much better...
*Nanna continues to witter on, unhappy that she killed two Ogres in a fireball, electrocuted Granny Wormwood and ordered Guston to nail an arrow through a hill giants heart via his back before finishing off the same said hill giant with a flurry of magic missiles... Nanna has blood on her hands and she is furious with herself about it... She is after-all the good guy nanny.*
Harvey, Keeley, and Butter walk out of the woods to the cave. Harvey picks up a stick and holds it out to Keeley. “Go on, touch it,” he says gently. Keeley hesitates for a moment before gingerly reaching out and touching the stick with her fingers. Nothing happens. The stick remains as it is. Keeley immediately sits down on the grass and breathes a sigh of relief. “Thank the gods,” she says. “And thank you, friends, for your help. This is a most welcome relief, and you have my deepest gratitude.” She looks around and observes the large clearing. “Now I can finally spread my wings in peace.”
With that, Keeley stands and undergoes a swift transformation. Her skin melds into shimmering silver scales, as her body grows in size, and two shiny silver wings sprout from her back. In a matter of seconds, Keeley stands before Fiora and Harvey in her true form, that of a silver dragon. Standing on her four legs, she isn’t as large and impressive as the dragons that are written about in tales and legends, but she still towers over the two halflings.
“You have my apologies for keeping this a secret from you,” she says. “But the hag could never know just who it was she had in her custody. If she had found out, there was no telling what she would have made me do.”

Vaga easily finds a rock on the floor of the stone cave, and chucks it at the giant. It bounces off harmlessly.
The Flaming Sphere, on the other hand, rolls onto the giant and scorches him. The smell of burning giant permeates the room.
Kaled seizes the opportunity to jump in and attack.
His sword chops into the giant’s armor and hits flesh. The giant looks pretty rough now, breathing heavily and stumbling a bit as he walks.
Guston’s arrow hits the giant’s back, causing him to stumble forward. He’s still alive, but barely.
Rot forever in the nine hells!

Upon searching the room, Guston finds a small switch hidden beneath a pelt hanging on the far wall.

Anyone need a new shiny scale armor?
