*Anduin hops up and scurries over to Keeley and gently strokes and pats her silver hide whilst grinning up at her with a crooked smile.*
Glad we could help Keeley or is that Keelyandrethilian? You look very much like your sister Kastrandrethilian... But perhaps it is just a trick of the eye. Keep safe young one.
*With one last charismatic wink... Or in this form a juddering eyelid spasm, Nanna hurries to the hole in the tree and Harvey.*
Bless you boy. I have completely forgot how to cast portal.
*Nanna waves her hands in the air, which fizzles and sparks but resolutely remains air.*
Not sure what is going on there... But anyway, thank goodness you can still make a hole to hole connection.
@Shandyr I considered Ilmater, along with about 4 other gods. I eventually went with the idea that Fiora venerates several good gods, on the grounds that she agrees with so many of them. She actually has (had) an ongoing bet with an old paladin of tyr on which god would claim her on death. He bet on Ilmater, Fiora had her money on Lothander.
The party finds themselves back in Callus, next to the tree where they had originally been transported. Everything seems to be fine. As they look around, however, they notice that the town is quiet. Not many people are walking through the streets of the town, and most of those who are seem to be in a hurry to conduct their business and leave. There are a few guards standing in pairs at several locations throughout the town, and an even smaller number of fellow adventurers and travelers who are helping to maintain order and preparing for battle. One of these adventurers in particular sticks out to the party as they inspect the area: a human man wearing leather armor and a dark blue hood, a long bow on his back, and a dagger at his waist.
"Ho there, adventurer." Vaga walks up to the hooded man and looks up. Everywhere he goes, there's always plenty of longlegs scurrying around, straining his neck. This man seems reasonable enough though, Vaga thinks to himself. "I am Vaga, a monk of the Order of the Sharp Teeth, and these.. " Vaga gestures to the others "..are my motley crew of vagabonds.. and heroes." the last note is said as he eyes Fiona. "We are on a task to save this city. But we are tired and should need some rest before we do anything.. " Vaga isn't tired, he's used to go on way past normal fatigue, he thrives on hit, the feeling of the body succumbing to fatigue, fighting and keep going on anyways. It makes him feel alive. But he thinks of the cleric/rogue who should probably need some rest by now and propose the rest with him in mind. He cares for the fallen one, but his stamina isn't the best..
"I propose we return to the inn first. What say you, comrades?"
I prefer to RP my level-ups while Vaga thinks of what has happened and learn from his mistakes by going through it all in his mind afterwards, every action, every battle, every single punch. I also need to buy something ranged, hehe.. Vaga gets in trouble sometimes so I am thinking of adding shurikens to his inventory since I believe shurikens is the only ranged weapon that works with flurry of blows (and kamas for melee). I also just realized I do 1D8 in damage since level 4 instead of 1D6. At least according to D20.org. If you guys wanna progress the story thats fine though, going to the inn was just a suggestion.
And btw, glad to have the ever eminent @shandyr joining us!
*Fiora flashes a big grin Marco's way. She strains to be polite to the stranger, holding back her usual introduction*
Hmmm, level 5 paladin. Looks like I get a mount. Do we want to mess with that? I can think of some fun (or stupid) things to do with one. But I don't know the rules for maintaining one.
*EDIT* Oh crap, @Shandyr wants to know what we look like? Um, I don't think I set an appearance for FIora. Uh, Fiora is a little thin and muscular for a halfling, but her smiles soften her face more than one would think possible. Her skin light, but not pale and her hair is light brown and ridiculously curly. She keeps its clean, but having returned form the forest, it is currently home to several families of twigs. She has a chunk missing from her left ear.
*Marco sees a very ugly man with boils on his face that constantly pop and drip puss down his chin onto his neck and soak the clothes around his shoulders. The man has a haunted, self-loathing look about him, and as a group of women and children with full baskets of food walks by the market, he visibly flinches and looks away, scratching at his face nervously and guiltily, his eyes on a distant memory of shame. Several more boils pop and the slime mingles in his fingers as he unconsciously wipes them clean on his stained jerkin. He bears a holy symbol of Chauntea, formally broken and desecrated, the sign of a fallen priest. He also wears a long dark cloak, bears several thieving weapons and tools.*
“Hello,” he says to Marco forlornly, extending the hand he just wiped on his jerkin. “My name is Guston Bronwest.”
Marco sees a strange child accompanying the party. As he watches him carefully, he can see that his feet are actually above the ground and he's floating in thin air. Time and again, streaks of fire emanate from his fingers as he casually plays with them, swirling them in the air in the patterns of strange runes. He's peaceful and smiling, and a reassuring aura prevails around him.
He notices that Marco is looking at him and smiles at him in a very knowing manner. A mischievous idea strikes him, and he tries to pry into Marco's thoughts.
Ignatius casts Detect Thoughts: Marco.
Hurray! Level up! Let me take my new spells (all level 2 still, I guess?): 1. Alter Self 2. Glitterdust
At Level 5, casters gain access to Level 3 spells.
Great! In that case, I'd take Suggestion in place of Glitterdust. Anduin has already got Fireball and Lightning Bolt, and this one can have subtler applications.
Yeah, I was about to continue like that. We might have to leave some people behind for the next adventure if they don’t check in and participate.
And so the party heads to the Weary Wanderer inn, where the dwarf Dorin provides them with rooms to rest in. It is morning when they awaken, and they head downstairs to the delicious smell of cooked breakfast. They see Starlen behind the counter, along with the half-elf man they saw their first morning in town. The two seem to be whispering something amongst themselves, though from the bottom of the stairs the party couldn’t tell what they are saying. Looking around further, the party sees an unexpected sight, for sitting in a chair near the door are Harvey and Keeley in her human form, chatting together.

A good bedtime story for the little man. A few prayers and a few hours peering in my spellbook should be done at an inn.
Lead the way Vaga.
