Hair on his back? Vaga is smooth like silk, I'll tell you! The only hair is on his chin or (barely) hidden in his loincloth. His new, shiny baby-blue loincloth
Regarding potions, Vaga spent his I seem to recall.. or maybe I cancelled that because that would provoke an attack? I don't remember now.
Regarding shared inventory, do we have that? I think we can only use potions in a fight you have at hand but can access shared inventory in camp. Or how does it work?
"Thanks.. I feel better now." Vaga doesn't fully know how to approach Nanna and gives her a friendly fist bump on her shoulder, making sure he doesn't unintentionally stun-fist her.
Vaga leans down to the dead ogres. "You fought well, with honor, defending as you've been instructed. Be at peace." He tries to gently push back the dislocated jaws of both ogres with fumbling hands. The jaw of one ogre gets stuck in a weird looking grim, almost as if the ogre was grinning gladly at them from death. The copious amount of blood and bruising make it macabre sight. Vaga realizes his futile attempt only made it worse and stands up awkwardly and moves away. He adjusts his new loincloth as he stands up, juggling down the family heirlooms into a more comfortable position. One of the fleshy coin purses had fallen out on the side and clung itself on the inside of his thigh. The baby blue cloth match his eyes perfectly. If he hadn't been such an ugly, scarred, tattooed brute, he would almost have looked like a cute little baby. Almost.
"Well then.. should we proceed in?" Having recovered most of his stamina thanks to Guston and Anduin Nanna, Vaga starts to walk towards the cave, knowing as always his friends are right behind him. He throws a sage-like wisdom towards Ignatius while he walks; "Child, see what happens when you let hatred and aggression guide your actions? I am sure they would have let us in if we had asked them politely."
(Vaga is daft, but to daft to realize it himself.)
You still have all of your potions. Using them in combat would provoke an attack of opportunity. As for shared inventory, that’s up to the party to determine how it’s used.
And so, the party enters the cave, but what they see inside reminds them more of a warm, comfortable home. The stone walls are clean and polished, with numerous trophies of animal heads and various knick-knacks hanging upon them. The floor is covered with finely tanned rugs of animal skin. In the center of the cave sits a hill giant. Upon seeing the party, he stands, towering over them all.
“So,” he says, looking over each of the party members. “You lot killed my men, eh?” He grins and chuckles as he lifts his massive club that was resting at his side.
The hill giant sees Ignatius’ spell coming, and steps to the side, catching only a small portion of the ray of burning heat. He continues to smile widely, unfazed by the spell.
"You have lost many men today! What is your employer paying you that is worth all this loss? Stand aside and let us through. You do not need to lose anymore today!"
C'mon diplomacy roll! I've had a hectic day and a half, so I might not be very active for a little while.
Vaga sighs.. he's tired of fighting, of the inherent hatred of Evil beings and the necessity to kill them to ensure the mission. His knuckles are sore and cracked, but he raise and clenches his fists yet again and channels his Ki and jumps into the fray. He tries to move around the huge beast agilely; dodging, moving and looking for an opening and then he tries his to stun attack their great foe as his first move, following up with regular attacks as soon as he can.
Did Anduin's Heal heal Vaga to full HP? Not sure if Heal works the same in 3E as in AD&D.
The giant takes a swing at Vaga, who just punched him, and clobbers him, sending him flying into the wall under the blow’s force. 13 damage.
The party now hears the sound of an old woman chanting. As the chanting ends, so do all of the spell effects in the room. The giant moves at normal speed, and the Chant spell is no longer in effect. Ignatius momentarily starts to fall, but he can quickly manage to recover before landing hard on the floor. The party can see the hag behind the giant now, her face a mask of twisted glee.
I had intended to spend my first round attacking with Stunning fist, sorry if that was unclear. Tried to write it a bit more "RP" then just state "Vaga attacks with stunning fist". I would like to spend my next round using stunning fist which puts me down to one APR since flurry of blows shouldn't work then.. I think?
I will try to be more clear in the future.
Vaga feels something crush and break as he hits the wall with full force. The pain is the best fuel and he embraces the surge of ache in his shoulder, arm and back. He stands up again, a mad grin in his face for a second before he catches himself and calms down. "Must surpress the old madness, must not let anger take hold of me. Not ever again!" he thinks to himself as he checks his breathing and rush back into the fight. Vaga is no magician, but he can see that the hag cast some kind of dispelling magic since the giant is now moving as usual, his fierce club swinging wildly and effortlessly in his meaty hand. Vaga moves in and tries to channel all his ki into a mighty stunning blow, aiming for the lower midsection of the giant, he cannot reach further up without jumping.
A swarm of rats envelopes the two monsters, biting and scratching, as Vaga jumps back into action.
Vaga: Attack: 2+7=9, 17+7=24
His first fist collides with the giant’s armor and bounces off harmlessly, but the second finds an opening, and hits flesh. The giant looks down at him and shakes his head with a chuckle.
*FIora sees an opening and rushes the Hag. Her sword begins to glow with a blue flame*
In case I'm gone. If the Hag starts to cast again before Fiora can close the distance, she will chuck her shield at the Hag to distract/offbalance her. Aggressive frisbee golf!
Guston casts Cure Light Wounds on Vaga, who feels slightly better.
The hill giant, feeling restored to normal, takes a swing at the dwarf, and once again clobbers him for 18 damage. He then takes another swing, and Vaga flies back to the entrance of the cave, unconscious. His club also hits Guston for 12 damage.
The hag rakes Fiora twice with her claws, piercing her armor and tearing away flesh. 15 damage in total.
In a flash of lightning, the hag falls, her charred corpse crashing lifeless to the floor. The hill giant bellows in pain and anger, as he turns his attention towards the source of the spell.

Vaga feels slightly better, but he clearly needs some extra attention.

The party has initiative, so they go first.

*Nanna casts slow.*
The hill giant, already under attack as he is, ignores Fiora’s plea.
And he suddenly starts moving at a slower pace, as Anduin’s spell takes hold.
Everyone feels the warm energy of Chauntea envelope them when Guston completes his spell.
He punches into the giant’s thick, rubbery hide twice, causing a grunt of discomfort.

Vaga attacks with stunning fist.
His first fist collides with the giant’s armor and bounces off harmlessly, but the second finds an opening, and hits flesh. The giant looks down at him and shakes his head with a chuckle.
I knew I should have fireballed the giant when I had the chance...
The arrow hits the hag, and she reels back in pain.

*Nanna casts lightning bolt aiming it to burn the big b*stard and b*tch that done it.*
*Fiora tries to intercept and sever the giants ankles, but is slowed down by the pain*
Fiora stabs into the giant’s foot, and the giant grunts.
*Nanna looks aghast at her own fingers and then at the corpse of Granny Wormwood.*
I gave up... I didn't even try to save her...
*Nanna begins casting slow on the giant as it lumbers towards her filling her vision with impending doom.*
