Hello - I know that this game mod released into public several months ago. I also saw that there had been several updates after that but no more for the past few months. I wanted to wait until the game mod was fully complete before playing. Is it completely done now? Thank you for your response.

If you mean have the players found new bugs : yes, there are some bugs and fixes on the way.
You can check on Discord to see what are the recent fixes and what players are reporting.

Battlefield: When I win Rank 8 & 9, the golem does not announce it, also there is no prize.
Also it's quite random when I get XP after a fight won.
I managed to keep the entire party in the room for a few fights, if they did not go too close to the center or the golem, nor exit the doors.

The manual lists Sunscorch as a level 1 Selune priest spell but my Selune priest does not have it.
Girdle of Bluntness does not give bludgeoning resistance bonus.

I just tested these two items and they do work correctly. They are supposed to grant an armor class bonus vs. the damage type, not reduce damage from the damage type.

Spell Revisions changes the domain spell list for each cleric kit, switching out some spells for other ones. It doesn't really make sense for the moon cleric to have a sun spell as their domain spell.

Another one is that in Chapter One, in the Horde Fortress Interior, the jailkeeper does not have a key to Braston's cell.

I searched the whole fortress and did not find the key, then found an online walkthrough saying the jailkeeper should have it, then loaded an older save from before I entered the fortress interior and killed the jailkeeper again, and he still didn't have the key. I had to use a combination of Dimension Door and Simple Summoning spells to get into Braston's cell and get him out of there, so it's not critical if you think of this combination, but still.

That is not a bug. The jailkeeper is not supposed to have a key; you can pick the lock. This was the case in the original IWD2 as well. Whatever online source you got this from is wrong.

I installed the EE mod successfully, but it appears to have broken my TweakPack install. I can no longer stack more than 80 of anything, not 120.

I did Base game -> EE -> TweakPack -> EE mod compatibility patch.
  • Acrux2Acrux2 Member Posts: 66
Are you using the latest TweakPack? I know CamDawg made an update after the EE release to support it. But in any case, I had some troubles with that particular component too. I ended up using the Ease of Use infinite stacking component (also with updated compatibility from CamDawg!).

Hello I unzipped everything into my ice wind dale 2 folder from Gog but when I run Setup-iwd2ee.exe nothing happens, just a little spinning circle and then it goes away I verified that antivirus is not blocking anything. Gog names the root folder 'ice wind dale 2', should it be different? i'm not sure why nothing happens.

The description of Impervious Sanctity of Mind says its area of effect is 1 creature. However regardless whom I aim with it, only on the cleric can be cast.

When transforming into a lich, you can choose the form of a lich or the form of a human. In lich form, the character moves much slower. I didn't make a backup save. Is it possible to bring up the form selection dialogue again?

Do you have the most recent release from about a month ago? 3.3.1.1 Lich movement slowdown was fixed in that.

There was an error with the spell that charges the staff with a first-level spell. The error will occur under special conditions: if you summon a second staff and try to charge it with a spell before the first one runs out, and the second hand is occupied in the next weapon slot.
Possible reason: to summon the staff, you need to have nothing in the second hand, otherwise there will be a message about the occupied hand. If a magic weapon runs out, it automatically switches to the next equipment slot.

The installer selects the Italian language. How to choose another language?

Congratulations to releasing this monumental work. I was planning to start a game with it. I wanted to include one specific other mod Almateria's IWD2 Fixpack. Back in the old thread it was mentioned that this mod "should be compatible" with EE, but in the new readme Almateria's mod is not mentioned. What about it's status.
Or maybe Almateria's work is already included in EE? Is there a list of smaller fixes included in EE like those of Almateria's?
  • Acrux2Acrux2 Member Posts: 66
Almateria's Fixpack is still "should be compatible". I've used them both at times, but truthfully I'm not sure I've actually seen any of Almateria's changes when I've done so. You should still use the mod compatibility patch after installation.

Hi! I recently installed the game from an old CD and this IWD2 mod you have here without any problems... but now everything has stopped when starting the game and i promise i have only used the IWD2EE file. And the message is exactly as the image below says!?

I have no other mods installed nor have i installed "the mod compatibility patch". However, this is a mod you have here, could it be that i also have to install "the mod compatibility patch" to make the game work?

I have also tried starting the IWD2EE file as administrator and a few different compatibilities such as win XP but have had the same end result...

In the end it feels like I'm missing something to get the game to start. I have followed the instructions to the letter, but just to be sure, do i need anything else to make this mod work? Or is this a bug i should report?

I use win11Pro and the game comes from an old CD and i have the latest version of your mod here iwd2ee-v3.3.1.1

So the question is... what's missing?

You probably don't have the last IWD2 patch if you are on CD. You can get the official 2.01 version from sorcerers.net or from Gibberlings 3.

My bloody beard... of course i would forget it, i knew it! A simple thing like a regular patch. Yes, now the game works perfectly. Thx for all the help... ^^

Another question if it's ok regarding the keyboard settings... Is it possible to change it beyond what is in the game menu? If there is another file/location in the game with more options?

There's a keymap.ini file in the main game folder. The list of things that can be changed is fairly limited, though,

What did you want to tweak ?
I personally created a simple Autohotkey script so that WASD moves the map for example, but I think it can be done in keymap.ini.

I've been enjoying the EE (really fantastic work!), but have run into a bug. Doing the battle square and most times (not every time), my weapon vanishes afterwards.

I'm doing it with a dual dagger wielding ranger (Thy Dunag Blade +1 and Dagger +1) casting moonblade. I've used that spell many times before without issue, but for whatever reason, when I do it in the square, when the spell expires, my off-hand weapon is often no longer equipped.

v2.01 (101615) I assume I have the battle square component installed (I installed it a few months ago and can't find any way to confirm what parts are active or not), though the only rewards I've been getting have been a few coins and a gem, so maybe not?

Acrux2... I did check the keymap.ini but it seems to be quite identical to the game's menu, but that's okay. Thx for all the help! ^^

Baraz... well... yes! It was a thought and a few specific spells if i could, but in the end it still works out. I use the mouse as usual. Thx for all the help! ^^
