A missing Teen from Tennessee was found in WIsconsin. She apparenrly seems to have fled after her father was arrested for molesting her. Although she had family in Wisconsin, the people she ended up staying with were not related to her. Her name is not being released because of her age (14) and the allegations about her father's supposed crime (he hasn't been tried yet, so it's still considered an "alleged"crime). https://www.yahoo.com/gma/missing-tennessee-14-old-found-alive-wisconsin-034506816--abc-news-topstories.html?.tsrc=notification-brknews

What? The asshole rapist isn't a priest or minister? Surprised this even made the news...
Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been found free of cancer and is returning to work at the Supreme Court Ralph Shortey, a Conservative Christian Lawmaker, now in jail for Child Prostitution, was ordered to pay $125,000 in restitution to hte young boy he was caught in a hotel room with. The boy was and is underage. His wife divorced him and got permission to change her and her 4 children's last names. New York State passed the Child Victims Act, allowing sexual abuse survivors to sue their abusers. A German Artist named Gerhard Richter, is selling $1 million of his art to build houses for the homeless in Germany. The New Jersey Governor has signed a bill into law that mandates a LGBTQ-inclusive curriculum in schools. California is the only other state to have done so. The Governor is Phil Murphy. The Supreme Court blocked Louisiana's Abortion Law from going into effect starting tomorrow. Justice Samuel Alito says they need more time to review the filings and that this says nothing about the strength of the case. Connecticut State Supreme Court has declined to hear the Appeal of Infowars and Alex Jones of their characterization of the Sandy Hook Shooting as a "Hoax".
@LadyRhian That comment doesn't belong here. This thread is not for the politics. Also, the comment itself looks like a post with news bits, which makes it spam-looking.
As a counter to the thread for unhappiness, which has been going strong since 2012, this is a place to celebrate the good things that have happened and are happening in your life. Regardless of how big or small it is, share what makes you feel a little bit better about the world. On the other hand, if you're feeling down about something, feel free to post here to ask for help, advice or just a virtual voice of support.

The upside to spending 2 hours looking up creepy images on Pinterest in the dead of night, as I did today, is that eventually you're going to run into some non-creepy pictures, too.
I know. I'm just really wondering how much of what we read is really true when we finally get the whole story. I was all in on her being a spy too because she fits the 'profile' we're led to believe by our media (movies, TV shows and what-not). Pretty young female hanging out with older political types. Sounds like Black Widow to me! Not saying she's as pretty as Scarlett Johansen but you know what I mean...
Yeah. Well, her boyfriend appears to have been a con artist, too. I recall seeing something on the Rachel Maddow show (I think it was Maddow) about how he ran three "businesses", and they were all cons and frauds. She's certainly been hanging out with the wrong crowd.

Off topic for this thread so I'll just say that finding cons and frauds in politics and business isn't very difficult and it doesn't seem to matter a whole lot which side of the spectrum they're on. I'm rather liking Occasio-Cortez if truth be told. I think she's a bit naive but at least nobody's buying her (yet).
Im signing off here, any further discussion should be addressed to me in the politics thread.
She looks like a classic tortoiseshell to me. If she had more white she'd be what our family used to call a calico. I can't imagine why they wouldn't be allowed to keep her unless some of the other firefighters were allergic or something. Sounds like a decision made by somebody who hasn't had a warm, fuzzy, purring kitty sit on their lap!

Read the article about the "Russian Spy" I posted in the politics thread.

I find it funny that the cat is a tortoiseshell, she looks a bit like she's soot-blackened and red as fire.
