[mod] Tangled Oak Isle

After quite some time, Tangled Oak Isle is here.

The beta version of Tangled Oak Isle is now available. Version 0.9 includes full content, further version will only include tech-oriented improvements.

Once an independent village located on an Isle, the Tangled Oak Isle became the part of Athkatla. As the city grew bigger and bigger, it swallowed the isle, which now can be accessed not only by boats, but also by a bridge. While Isle is by law part of the City of Coin, it kept its identity, mostly because of the isle's villagers and the symbol that unite them: the Tangled Oak that grows between houses on the isle. Also the Cowled Wizards don't seem to be much interested in what was once called Tangled Oak Village and consider those that live there quite insignificant to Athkatla as a while, that means the islanders are on their own when it comes to solving problems and a serious one has just threatened that quiet place. Will you, the Hero of Baldur's Gate, help in restoring the isle's peace?

The Tangled Oak Isle is part of Athkatlan Grounds mod series.

    Oh wow, a new area. Sold! I wish there were more mods like this that add more places to the map.

    The mod actually includes 18 new areas (1 main + 17 areas "linked" to it: houses, caverns etc).
    I hear there's a buried treasure there.

    Awesome. Can't wait to try this one. I'm sure it's a very high quality mod, just like always from Lava.

    Yeah, I now consider his mods to be essential in my games. For example, Southern Edge just feels like it belongs there. If I weren't mid-game with a party, I'd contemplate installing this immediately.

    Thank you! Tangled Oak Isle has exactly the same goal: make Athkatla more diverse by showing new part of the city, add new quests, people to help... and there is even a book club now! Hah... well. No spoilers. You'll see what I mean once you play :)

    Thanks to @Austin87 the mod is now available in Russian. Oh, and it should work fine with EET. Grab v0.91 from Weasel Mods!

    v0.92 is available! There was a bug with the main quest not progressing if Cernd wasn't in the group. It should be fine now.

    How on Earth did you miss that one? I mean, does *anyone* have Cernd in their group? ;)

    Yeah, kinda missed it, tested it before I added that interjections and... well... it should work fine now. v0.93 got uploaded, fixing one more thing. Enjoy!

    Are you sure you cast it in the right direction. There is very specific place where fireball should hit.

    in the cave there is this part on the left, at the end there is that round boulder. I can't give you more specific instructions or a list of recognized spells because I'm away from my pc

    Yep. Use "X" on your keyboard to see the position of your mouse :)

    You may want to check globals by using these codes:
    C:GetGlobal("L#NIMoomikJob","GLOBAL")
    C:GetGlobal("L#NICreateSnake","GLOBAL")

    If they say (in that order) 2 and 1 and it's not there, use:
    C:CreateCreature("L#NISNA")
    and then kill the enemy and let me know if journal entry is updated.

    @LavaDelVortel The game says that the second command doesn't exist. This one "C:GetGlobal("L#NICreateSnake","GLOBAL")"

    Spawned the snake and killed it, no journal update.
