    Ogrillion: Time for some cod!

Is that not what they say?
LOL, I thought that as well.

Yeah that's what I've heard (carnage). That's an awfully big word for an ogrillion isn't it? I guess we have to imagine mother ogrillion's teaching their little baby ogrillions their ABCs and then words like carnage and adjudicate and stuff.

I still only hear the casing gibberish rather than the supposed Latin words. I think the Latin is a scam!

    "All hail the dark mother!"

"The besh shafisha, is a DEAD shafisha!"

"Bah... the Child of Bhaal has awoken."

Just kidding with that last one.

Occasionally, I hear one of the background peasants in Baldur's Gate shout "Git outta here ya crummy crawdad!"

I guess no one like crustaceans in the Gate...

I believe that one is: "'Ey! Get outta me way, ya crummy lager-head." I always thought they were saying "log-head"
I mishear everything that voice says:

"Wife's been gettin' prickly on me hours." (from before I knew the meaning of "arse")

    "Ye're a long-Tom lout, ain't ya?"

When the fighter 4 voiceset from IWD speaks "Duty call!" , I can't help but listen "Booty call!"

@BelgarathMTH Probably means something sexual... I have no idea...

Arse is an excellent word, far better than ass. For one thing it isn't a donkey.

@Tresset, it's not sexual. It just means the poor old drunk doesn't find his wife attractive any more. She's "prickly on his eyes", i.e. ugly in her old age.
  • TressetTresset Member, Moderator Posts: 8,264
@BelgarathMTH Oh, I know it wouldn't sexual were it actually "eyes" he were saying. However I looked up the string in NearInfinity and it is indeed "arse" that this guy is saying (as it is in the screenshot). I am not sure what this would mean; being raised Catholic I am not familiar with most dirty talk...

I thought Ajantis always said "Yeah." Apparently he said "Yea."

    That always bothered me.
  • TressetTresset Member, Moderator Posts: 8,264
@semiticgod probably just a typo or something.
  • semiticgoddesssemiticgoddess Member Posts: 14,903
Tresset: It's the only reason I so deeply dislike Ajantis. That and his "Helm... GIVE ME STRENGTH" wail.

@Tresset, wow, okay. So I learned something. I guess *I* was mishearing the quote, trying to make sense of it. Interesting.

BG1 voices in general I have trouble with. One exception has a pause, like Ajantis, but I still like it. It's from Yeslick.

    "Clangeddin's will...
    (deep breath)
    ... be done."
