Actually, it's Glennorian for those who really want to know.
She is an Elf from Suldanessellar sent by Elhan and Ellesime to track down Irenicus and learn of his whereabouts. At this point of the game, the Tree of Life has already been infected by the parasites and Bodhi has stolen the Rhynn Lanthorn.
Additional areas that will be expanded exist between Naskhel and in the Cloud Peaks along The Trade Way as the party follows the trail.
Regardless, the goal is to reach Crimmor, where the party encounters the infamous ambush that ultimately ends in a dungeon, where Baldur's Gate 2 begins.
Glennorian does not migrate into the EE version of BG2.
This may have been brought up but could you atleast tell us if it will use the 2nd ed rules like the other EE games? Also, will it come already "enhanced" from the factory

! Is this true? If so it sounds great -- except not continuing to BG2 of course.
Hmm... It's not BG3 but it is a Baldur's Gate game. It's obviously Baldur's Gate: Origins.
It's the story of a god forced to walk the earth. Join Bhaal on his epic journey to spawn a score of mortal progeny with as many partners as possible. Thrill in the adventure of a lifetime as you attempt to woo Half-Orcs, Humans & Elves, Halflings & Gnomes, Dwarves, Drow, Fire Giants, Half-dragons and Illithids (optional side quest).
I'll pre-order that. In all versions. Hell I'll pick up tablets just to play it on all the formats.
I wonder if this new character is a new party member or an important quest figure or a simple commoner. I say that elminster's choice shouldn't be someone like a beggar. A mage apprentice/a wizard suits more.
If it's an NPC, then it will be the second new NPC after Gl...
Remember that guy that throws a scimitar at you in the docks? My guess is, it's gonna be something like that

Some back-in-the-day fun!
There were three prize winners back then for character ideas to appear in Baldur's Gate 2.
Habib Khalid Achmed Allafif was the first place winner. Simyaz the Githyanki was the second place winner.
I couldn't find any reference for the third place winner or their NPC name in-game.
Habib is usually the one that causes the most outrage, with the scimitar tossing and coin tossing, which if the member of the party they throw it at only has 1hp, is killed.

How know you this? How come by you this knowledge? Why speaketh I like Shakespearean Yoda?

Now we only need to find a good studio that can make decent anime series out of this.
If we look at the map of Faerun, there's quite literally nothing between Nashkel and the Cloud Peaks. Not saying that something couldn't be created (i.e. Fire Leaf Forest), however there's probably not even enough space (unless if we're talking a portal/underdark entrance/dwarven kingdom).
Hey you win! Sign here to make it offical. Thanks for your soul.
Nah I haven't had to sign anything
As for my soul I think I gave that up awhile ago. I'm currently doing a playthrough of Baldur's Gate EE where I'm playing a monk obsessed with delivering the perfect death (basically a member of the order of the long death). A few villagers here and there have been "experimented" on. Purely in the name of research of course.
That is on top of another playthrough I have playing a shadowdancer who likewise has murdered all of beregost and most of Nashkel.

I think it is Mencar Pebblecrusher, the Dwarf in the Waukeen's Promenade inn.

You'll learn whenever Beamdog deems that you will learn.
Plus while I have certainly been pondering about it over the last few days I don't have anything concrete I'd like to share at this point.
