Not a single Christmas song up 'till now, huh? Then I'll be so free and start off with some relaxing ambient music. While this song is not in my native tongue, it still has a very festive feeling to it if I do say so myself. :P

I have no one to call. As an aside, it just wouldn't be Christmas without the jolliest of all the jolly songs: The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl singing the Fairytale of New York.

So yeah I call you, Troodon80

And my gift for you is a lifetime supply of fresh bamboo!

    :D

In the spirit of gift giving, the next person to nominate someone will not only get a free copy of BG:EE and BG2:EE for either PC or Mac, but so will the person they nominate. If they have copies already, then they can give them away to family members or friends.

Free copies? That is, something interesting.... @booinyoureyes do you want a free copie??

    @booinyoureyes
Yay! Do I get a prize?!

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you!

Your presence (on the forum) will be missed if you do indeed disappear for a while!

And see, I can keep it short too! :P ... though to make that true, I need to stop typing now... damnit!

Aww, thanks @booinyoureyes, hope you have a lovely Christmas too! And everyone else as well! To everyone who has a journey ahead of them, good luck and safe travels. I'm already home thankfully, and I ain't going anywhere so I guess you guys are stuck with me for the holidays. I realize now that this thread actually has rules and is not just for rambling so... let's see...

In high school band we always played this song for our Christmas concert. I haven't heard it in ages and couldn't remember the name but I finally tracked it down :)

Umm, just one person? Sorry, don't like that rule, I'll make it one per eye.

@Eudaemonium - my familiar. It's amazing enough that I as a paladin have a familiar, but having a Red Wizard who is the rightful king of Westeros in my backpack is even better. Fairy dragons just can't keep up.

@Pecca - the santa to all mages and sorcerers.

@jakaminski - very unique art style; I love the stylized portraits.

@Anduin - Favored Soul of Cauli and the most dedicated necromancer of Faerun.

@Southpaw - He definitely has brains; the most suave Mindflayer around.

@OneAngryMushroom & @Kamigoroshi - the myconid and ooze to make the most legendary party I ever travelled with complete

@SethDavis- Squishes vast numbers of bugs of all size and shape with 3 words: "Should be good." When not squishing bugs he is capable of making some of the funniest quips of any of the team members.

Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. Just what my 32 degrees and rising Christmas was missing!

@Booinyoureyes, I make it a rule never to eat anything that makes me laugh, so you're sage, oops, festive typo, safe... for now :D

This thread is a pleasant surprise after sitting making jewelry and listening to YouTube Music for a good long while (toll- three necklaces and a bracelet). So I'll add a nice bit of music (old, as I am just old, too. ;) )

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBKjkxV0edY

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPzv-dvaGUg

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5LROczmJHg

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDc2FD-vy8M

And add two presents: For @belgarathmth, a timbone (He'll get this one) and success for Beamdog and everybody who has worked so hard on the game! And one more, this only metaphorical: A Life, to all those spammers who infest these boards. :)

And to everyone who lacks both a fire and a cat, one of both for the holidays!

Huh. Woah. That was unexpected. Thanks for the compliment Boo! :)

There's a lot of great people on here, picking out individuals would be tricky. I remember last year early on that the first names I took note of for various reasons was tiaxrulesall, Dragonspear, elminster, Quartz and Syntia13... but again, I've noticed lots of great people here over time and could probably come up with a list similar to Boo's there, heh.

So I'll just wish the entire BG:EE community a merry christmas :) Tis a shame I can't make anything myself to save my life or I'd share some portraits/soundsets but all I've come up with is just copy-pasting and cropping someone else's work. On the subject of soundsets though, if anyone else is a Warcraft II fan like me, you can use the sound files from it for some pretty cool sound sets, no need to resample them or anything!

And while it's not technically a christmas song, here's a christmas song! If you've never seen Nightmare Before Christmas, but like animation, you should all treat yourself to seeing it.

Thank you, @Heindrich1988! Though I rarely mention the alignments that I play (in the rare occasions when I do actually play now...), I'm fully with you on the Lawful side of the spectrum, so I'll stick to the rules you identified. I've seen a lot of your posts, particularly in greeting new forum members, and you always seem to be a voice of support and reason. People like you make this forum welcoming. @Foggy has also been incredibly supportive and is one of the big reasons why I've continued to make portraits, so thank you.

Since both of you have been named, I'll pass on Christmas wishes to @Syntia13, whose thread and portraits drove me to begin portrait-making in the first place. Seeing the sheer number of portraits she has produced over the years (and trying to copy her...) made me want to keep trying just one more...and just one more...and just one more...

Happy holidays to all of the forum members!

@Dragonspear Yessss that would be excellent. I've seen Brude stalking around but yea. That'd be fun. I'd probably be totally goofy instead of roleplaying a legit character though, just a warning ... xD

    @Quartz

4 sarcastic goofs walk out of candlekeep *start ominous epic music*

Edit: Wasn't the plan that we'd do a 4 person party and each of us would be multi-classed to? Or were we going to do a pure class run. I don't remember which.

Edit 2: And why can't goofy be a roleplay anyway :P

@Dragonspear I think we had some inane ideas like playing all shorties, prolly multi-class yea. That would be badass
