Did you know that if in the Prologue of BG1 you visit the bunkhouse (the one where Carbos awaits you) at night, you can see people sleeping there? The fight among the sleeping people...
Also, did you know that if you fail to set a trap and it inflicts damage on your thief instead, you can't die at the lvl 1 (the rule of no-one-shot with less than 14 hp applies)? So setting a trap at the first level (and when you still don't have 100 in traps) is always safe - you will stay at 1 hp if the trap damages you. It works even in LoB, with its crazy damage.
Also (this time from reddit, not mine) - did you see that strange face in a bath tub in the tanner basement?
Did you know that the spanish dub replaces the sound effects of kobolds with what is obviously someone having great fun imitating a dog? Golems also get a hilarious gurgling sound.
One of the dialog options when talking to Gaelan Bayle for the first time allows you to pay 20,000 when he initially brings up the figure.
Personally, I never have 20,000 gold by this point (at least I don't recall ever having it) but it is technically an option.
Evidentially Bioware didn't have much faith in you having the gold at that point either, as the journal entry you get for doing so still directs you to raise funds for it by finding work at the Copper Coronet.
haha, that's fantastic! I can't find it right now, but in one of the original trailers for BG1, the kobolds are clearly voiced by the developers. It's great. XD
Haha, oh, wow! Maybe it's the same sound effect that somehow remained for the spanish version? I should add that I've only played original BG2 in spanish, so maybe it isn't in other versions.

I figured it would be hard without getting really lucky with pickpocketing high level scrolls from the guards around the Promenade. There's no merchant that accepts stolen goods in the Promenade that I know of, so that's off the table. I guess if you're really competent you can try killing Mencar Pebblecrusher's merry men plus all of the Cowled Wizards and if that's not enough, make up the difference with Goodberry spamming.
There's a merchant who appears in Promenade at night who is a fence.
Wait, seriously? *Checks*
Well, I'll be damned. Okay, this is suddenly easy. Just play a Bard, buy up Ribald's potions of Master Thievery to be safe, and steal/sell expensive stuff repeatedly until you hit 20,000 gold.
In Planescape Torment and the original non-enhanced Icewind Dale, if someone with 18 Strength gets a Strength increase, instead of them going to 19 Strength, they gain exceptional strength with each point. They will only get 19 Strength once you increase it past 18/00.
However, in Planescape Torment, there is a way to get around this. When the Nameless One reaches certain levels in a class, he gets permanent stat bonuses. If he's a fighter, he'll get bonuses to Strength. If he's at 18 Strength when he gets one of these special bonuses, it will boost him straight to 19 Strength.
A friend of mine showed me some videos of a Maori haka she took on vacation to New Zealand. It was quite cool. Lots of shirtless bronze men hitting their muscles like drums.
The wine container in durlags basement next to the wine machine gets visually filled up but only if you open the secret door next to it. it will do so regardless if you actually used the machine.

The french ogre was a literal pillar of my childhood BG experience. can't get any more epic.
the french male commoners were also really good. especially the drunken laughing one.
@BillyYank For whatever reason I don't have those files on my Mac versions of the game. I have a couple Baldur.lua files but I am hesitant to mess with them!

The "xp left to level up" number , below your portrait on the character sheet, may be a bit misleading when it comes to multiclasses. It says the amount of xp necessary but does not consider that every xp you gain gets divided by the number of classes, that is, if the character sheet says that you need 100 xp to level up, what you actually need is 200xp.

That came up when the new UI first came out. One of the mods in AncientCowboy's UI Tweaks give a better option. Progress Bar Tweaks
his resist fire is script-casted and I believe it's about level 1 of power. so it only lasts a few rounds at best. it is trivial
1 rd/level, so if you're right, then it is trivial. If not...well, you've done this and I haven't, so I guess I shouldn't question you. I'll just add that one should probably use both Fireshields (from a scroll if necessary) just to be safe. The other problem of course being those stupid healing spells he uses.

Did you know that in BG1 the swords on your summoned skeletons can break?
The skeletons will continue to fight by punching, but like other NPCs without weapons will not fist-attack incapacitated enemies.

I did find the strange golem sound in this video at around 2:12. It never fails to brighten up my day. https://youtu.be/SDxYMZXFIjk?t=2m12s

Centeol's class is "Spider Centeol"
Centeol's sprite is called "Static Spider Woman"
Too bad the women didn't take part in the haka.

The stone obelisk with directions on south Beregost map looks like has the town of Nashkel misspelled NASHKELL:
you can view those with CTRL+4
not quite sure if it's intended but you can't walk on those rocks anyway so the sides are pointless. I vote for intended
