Is anyone currently in the underdark in SoA? I need a save game from some time before Phaere sends you to kill Solaufein so I can report a bug. If someone could upload their save file for me I would appreciate it.
I have a question concerning attacks per round and gauntlets of extraordinary specialization. Before equipping them in watchers keep my attacks per round were "7/2" (dual wielding). When they're equipped my character sheet says my attacks per round is "4". I wondering if that's accurate and I have a lower attack speed with that item equip ed?
I never undestood why you are able to improve thief "abilities" like detect traps, unlock locks and so on higher than 100. Do you get bonus by doing so?
I also seem to recall, from playing bg2, that if you level up these "abilities" higher than 255, they gets neglected and don't work well as they should. Am I wrong?
I guess it negates penalties. A lot of the thief skills have penalties in certain situations, like hiding in daylight or stealing from shops, so have skills above 100 offsets that.
Seriously? No one is playing BG2:EE and is in the underdark and can upload a save file for me? I find that hard to believe... What if I said I would give a promote to the first person to give me a usable save file? I would really like to get this bug reported...
@Tresset I have a save from an old run from a few months ago. Its just as I entered the underdark. I was using some mods so don't know if that would work for you. I can upload it if you think it will help.

The only skills where it makes sense to go over 100 are Hide in Shadows/Move Silently, and Pick Pockets.
And yeah, 255 is the max. I think it used to be bugged so that if you went over 255 it would wrap back around, but I think they fixed that for the EEs.
@CaloNord It wasn't the promote that prompted me to upload the save. You can see from my wopping 51 posts that accumulating points isn't high on my list... lol
I guess credit my never deleting old saves for some reason. You should see my saves folder! lol Just glad I could help @Tresset squash a bug.
@ronaldo I'm not even sure where my promotes came from. o.O Haha I do the same! I have a folder inside my saves folder called "Old" into which go all my saves that I'm done with for now. Usually I'll never revisit them, but you can never be to careful.
@ronaldo It works like a charm. Keeping your saves nice and safe but not having them clutter up your load game list. I like it this way. I'm a MASSIVE horder.
You know what would be nice? A mod that instantly loots an enemy after killing it - with all gems and non-quest related jewelry being instantly converted to gold. No need to loot them yourself. It will alert you if you are full or encumbered, but other than that, you just kill and keep moving. Perhaps it could even come with customizable settings so you can say what gets picked up/converted, and which NPC inventory particular items should go.
I thought I would bring that up in case there might already be a mod out there like that - although I doubt there is. It would be nice if it could get made, though.
I forgot if I already asked the question, but does charname greater werewolf form give him the same regeneration of the greater werewolf you meet inside the isle of balduran (should be 30 HP per round?)
That creature is a greater wolfwere not a greater werewolf. Greater Werewolves that you encounter in BG1 only have the regeneration you'd get from having 25 constitution (6 health/minute). Its still more than the charname greater werewolf form since you now don't get 25 constitution from transforming.
Its not until BG2 that enemy Greater Werewolves have a very high regeneration rate (6 hp/second).

7/2 means 3.5 APR... It's just the way it displays half attacks.
And yeah, 255 is the max. I think it used to be bugged so that if you went over 255 it would wrap back around, but I think they fixed that for the EEs.
Cheers

I quite like the idea of a Wild Bard or Sorcerer...
A Wild Jester, on the other hand…
