That's funny. I started a character called Chuck Norris in BG1, and the game started with the Throne of Bhaal victory cutscene for Good Godhood. And then the game ended.
If you call your protagonist Hari Seldon, he will have the ability to foresee the future. Therefore he can always predict bandit ambushes and will never be waylaid by enemies. But the rulers of Baldur's Gate will try to send him and his followers in exile far away.

And if you name your character R. Daneel Olivaw, all the golems will refuse to attack humans. They'll still attack elves, dwarves, and other races. Those laws are quite specific.

There's a 1 in 1000 chance, though, that they will in fact develop the "Zeroth Law" and start killing all non-humans in order to preserve humanity. So be careful with this one!
If you charm Valygar, you can ask him how he became a Stalker, and he says he prefers the term "secret admirer."
Baldur's Gate was originally supposed to be from Gorion's point of view. When the developers were unable to keep him alive during the first cutscene, they decided to make Charname the protagonist instead.
Dragon Disciples are actually the descendants of wyverns. They only learned to breathe fire to hide their secret shame.
Did you know that in the twisted runs fight, there is a secret item? You need to click on the "Eye of the Beholder" that drops 100 times. If you do that, it opens and you get a potion called "Beauty." It perma gives you +1 charisma.
There is a severe bug in BG:EE concerning Yeslick. If you equip The Helm of Opposite Alignment on him, his name chances to Nolick. Even after removing the helmet he refuses to lick anymore.
The chicken that contains a Beljuril in the Umar Hills is in fact Thalantyr. He was chickenated in Melicamp's latest failed experiment.
This means that it is canon that Melicamp survives the antichickenator spell. So if he doesn't survive, you are totally excused for reloading and retrying until he does!
There's only 2 dwarven shadow thieves in Faerun. One is Booter the torturer, the other is within the random vampire attacks on the street at night and usually perishes.

What does that make the dwarven defector you kill when working for the shadow thieves?

If you summon Pit Fiend and have no protection from evil, all you need to do is kill some innocent in front of Fiend's eyes. He just turns non-hostile and brofists you after that.
If you play solo and someone charms you, she joins your party. That way you can have a party of charname and 5 sirines. If charname's charisma is 18, you unlock a hidden 6 way romance banter
Did you know that during Iron Crisis facial hair became *so* passé and "oh my god, dad, NOBODY has moustache today!" among humans, that only wizards kept their beards?
I once rolled a 108 on a Fighter/Illusionist, back in vanilla BG2. It even had an 18/00 Strength.
But I thought "18/00" meant "18/zero," not "18/one hundred," so I re-rolled and settled for an 82. But I got killed by the poison trap nearby so I gave up and went outside to live my childhood like a normal human being.
I just picked up a stick, rolled an acorn instead of a d6, and made friends with a baby caterpillar paladin. It got eaten by a dire bird at the end of the campaign, but at least it tasted good.
The BG games were actually created by the Chinese government to seed Westerners with Chinese Communist propaganda. Various BG-related names and acronyms actually have secret meanings:
NPC: National People's Congress SCS: South China Sea APR: Advance the Proletarian Revolution AC: Attack the Counterrevolutionaries BG: 变化革命 (bianhua geming), which means change and revolution PFMW: Promote Formosa/Mainland War Jon Irenicus: Join Our Nefarious, Insidious, and Really Evil Nation, Innocent Children of the United States!
They were going to release the game on the 10th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Incident of 1989 (an official holiday in China every June 4th), but they got the year wrong because Chinese are actually bad at math.
Phaere only wanted to be Matron Mother so that she could love Solaufein without opposition. If you let her have the dragon eggs, then you unlock a special ending where Phaere and Solaufein get together and turn Ust Natha into a benevolent paradise under the guidance of Eilistraee. But no, you had to kill her, just because you wanted Adalon to give you that sweet, sweet quest XP.
Aerie's child, as the descendant of a Bhaalspawn, contains a small amount of Bhaal's essence. You can make your Slayer form stronger by consuming it.

The bird, I mean, not the caterpillar.
