Did you know that Larian Studios, in order to recreate old-school vibe of original Baldur's Gate, decided that Baldur's Gate 3 will be solely sold on CDs?
Studio says that entirety of the game will take approximately 176 discs.
Incomplete info... that is just for the first chapter
This would also explain Amazon's and also FedEx's recent interest in purchasing Larian, possibly due to the steady income stream from shipping large volumes of discs to so many households.
i dont know if this has been talked about before, since there are 42 pages of this thread, but i was just thinking about this today when i was browsing through some of my vanilla bg1 screen saves
Do you actually know why there is a pair of gauntlets of weapon specialization in the chest in the bandit camp leader's tent?
there is an actual reason why those are there;
if you noticed back in the vanilla days, those mits were not in that chest, but yet here they are in the EEs, so what gives?
well, back in vanilla, Tazok was actually killable when you would challenge him ( if you spoke that way ) when you first see him, and one of the strategies i would use would be as follows;
look at all that pretty summoning diarrhea
so what you would do, is challenge and then just SWARM him with summoned fodder and have everyone attack from range
after a certain amount of damage, he would come walk up to you say you fight pretty good, and leave forever
but, if he was surrounded he could never make it to you, and he did not posses any "min 1hp" item so he was killable
so then the question is why? why do we take out ol' tazok aye? well it just so happens that he is wearing a pair of gauntlets of weapon specialization, which if you have 18 dex or 19+ STR are pretty much the best pair of mits in the game
but the plot continues.....
so back in the early days of the release of bgee, i believe that this exploit was still doable, and im talking about v1 or v1.2 or so
so the devs got a hold of this and didn't like this exploit, so back then, they asked the forum group basically how to handle this with either; if he dies here, then he doesnt show up in the final battle or do we just make him unkillable
so i dont know what went down, but they choose the "make him unkillable" option, but luckily one of the devs were nice enough to include those mits in the chest to start chapter 4, i forget who it was.... i almost want to say it was Camdawg but im not 100% sure who it was, although i recall someone taking responsibility for it, and im still thankful for that choice
Is your charname tired of being in the spotlight all the time? Want to watch some real action without being in the epicentre?
Luckily a mod can change all that:
“Baldur Sex tended world”.
Playing the mod will soon demote your char name to a bystander, and you can finally relax a bit with the whole God aspiration thing. Time to be a nobody again.
Hehe, that's true @sarevok57. I think I may have posted that once or twice around the forums though. It was a character for a D3 I made first, IIRC, or some other game but ended up being my standard internet-alias since because it was unique enough to let me register it in some places. My old aliases such as "Profoss", "Bane" and "Mortar" were too common and seldom available for me to use/register.
Edit: Skatan is also a bit of fun pointing at me liking to wear black tie, suit and white shirt (on fridays) and to play rogue characters that steal a lot.
People have often wondered how Shank and Carbos managed to get into Candlekeep. If you charm Carbos he reveals that they got past the Gatewarden dressing up in a cow costume and pretending to be Nessa.
If you then charm Shank he reveals that he is bitter because he was the back end.
If you put Boots of Speed on your hands, you get constant effect Improved Alacrity and Improved Haste, but your character's arms will constantly flail around like rubbery noodles.
If you attack someone in Candlekeep and then cast Sanctuary on yourself, you can talk to Gorion and continue the game. When you return in chapter 6, everybody in the area will have forgotten and be friendly again.

in my opinion that was an excellent to fix that
and that is my "Did you know" story for the day

Thank God for mods
there is more than meets the eye with that user name;
i always thought it was just a random character name from a game or movie or some such
but to my surprise that user name can actually be translated to english from its original language ( swedish i believe....? )
and it translates to; the magpie
and i thought that was pretty neat, never would have i thought that was actually just the word magpie in a different language
More than meets the eye? @Skatan is a Transformer - confirmed!

What double post?
Someone is casting illusions here. I'm reporting you all to Corneil! :P
I don't think I want to know how this works either...
