OOC: Apologies, peeps. My internet was down for a good portion of yesterday and today.
Without sparing Edwin a word--Anomen spoke up before she so much as opened her mouth, but she wasn't about to complain--Aerie rolled up the Web scroll and put it away. She'd transcribe it later.
Upon watching her friends disappear beneath the trapdoor, Aerie also began her search for a way to reopen it.
Alora will search in the pit to see if there is anything that might help. "There must be a lever or a switch somewhere," she says. "Let's everyone search for it."
Alora feels a little chastened by the fact that she has now triggered two traps she failed to search for. "From now on I think we should be extra careful - I think this place might be out to get us."
Alora checks for traps on the western door.
OOC: @LadyRhian - How many hit points has Alora got at the moment? She's been taking a bit of a battering.
She finds no traps on the door and it is not locked. It is a mirror image of the Library, but this room contains several wooden desks and chairs. Against one wall is a blackboard and a holder with several pieces of chalk and some cloths smeared with chalk dust. It has a door to the north against the western wall, and a door to the south against the eastern wall.
A shiver goes down Alora's spine. "This looks like a school room," she says unhappily. Alora wants to get out of here as quickly as possible. She goes to the door heading north and checks for traps before opening it.
The door is unlocked and Alora finds no traps. Outside the door is a hallway running north, and another running east-west. To the east, you cants make out the door to the half-circular roomy were in earlier.
After 40', the corridor makes a sharp turn to the east. After 80', you see a door straight ahead. When you open this one, you find yourself back in the semi-circular room.
She went through the northern door. I'll assume you meant southern. The southern door is also unlocked and once again, she finds no traps. This corridor goes south for 150' before making a turn to the east. After 80', it dead-ends at a door to the east.
(Assuming Alora does the search and check for traps again...)
The door is not locked, and she doesn't find a trap. This opens on an irregular room, partly cut out of the surrounding rock The stone work is cruder than is usual for the rest of the palace. On a table in the corner the room is a small silver statue of a dragon readying for flight. In front of the statue, acting as guards, are five humans. Each human guard has a gaping wound. The wounds look serious enough to kill any person who suffered them.
Yet, these humans are standing, completely unmoving. It's obvious they don't feel any pain from their wounds.
"Gulp!" gulps Alora. She whispers to her party: "I've got a feeling we need to get that statue. It might have something to do with the princess and her boyfriend. But how do we fight something that doesn't look like it can be killed?"

Instead, Edwin looks for something he can hand to Minsc to open the door and hold it.

Arkanis helps Minsc and Tiax to find a way to make the trapdoor open.
*Anomen sits up, stands up if he can carefully and looks around in the darkness.*
Don’t want to be stepping on anything hot with these...
OOC: and Alora is wearing boots. Boots of elvenkind
Alora checks for traps on the western door.

"I meant to bring us back here in case people wanted to take another look at anything," she announces airily.
She will now try the northern door, checking for traps before she opens it.

*Anomen steps into the room, shield and mace in hand, and advances slowly towards the men*
