(Yes, but not the same attack roll. So if an 11 misses but a 13 hits, I don’t get the +2 to hit, unless you forgot to factor in Anomens Strength to the attack).
Spear plus strength. I misread it as Mace +2, but a Spear +2 does the same damage... and you didn't say what weapon you used. So, for now the Zombie remains dead, but I will remember correctly for next time.
The door in unlocked and you find no traps. When you open the door, you find a 40' by 40' room floored in sand. The sand is bloodstained. A rack on the north wall holds a large number of knives and meat cleavers. In the center of the room is a large wooden block about 2' high, 3' long and 2' wide. The wooden block is also bloodstained. 20' from the door, across the room on the west side is another door. The door you entered by is on the south side of the eastern end of the room.
"Ugh, this is almost as bad as the school room," says Alora (who really didn't enjoy going to school).
Alora will enter very cautiously and search the room. If she finds nothing she will take the door on the west side, listening and checking for traps before opening it.
"I think this might be just where the executioners dump the dead bodies into the river but maybe I should check what is down there." Alora ties her rope round her waist and hands the other end to Minsc, then she attempts to abseil down the chute.
Alora finds herself, about 10' down, in a 2' high river of extremely cold, fast-flowing water. The water picks Alora up and sweeps her downstream. After only 20', she slams into an iron grating that blocks off the channel.
She is not alone here. Three giant rats, panicked and desperate, art also trapped here by the water of the river. They see Alora and attack.
