Happy New Year, cuties!!
Happy New Year whichever is.
Happy New Year everyone.
I'm early on it, still 8:56 here as I'm posting this.
And, happy new year to all!
One of our New Year's traditions is this sketch being transmitted on TV. Enjoy!

Gelukkig Nieuwjaar!
or should I say - Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku!
Now I'm back home, sober and content, about to start a BG:EE run in preparation for SoD's release.
Have a great 2016, folks.
Did I mention when we got home our bags did not make it?
But, the entire time on the tarmac I was thinking about the 4th weapon slot for my current Elven Assassin run (short sword won), so it was not time wasted!
A Happy New Year to one and all on these boards and to your families and loved ones!
One more trip around the Sun!
Happy New Year all!
Happy New Year Beamdog!
Heck I I work charity with my pops when I can go home over the summer. So many people giving thanks to me for helping them get drunk...
No words, just no words.
Happy new years I guess, its just means another year of troubles, problems, and stress for me.
New year, new worries, problems as every other year. That's life.
Allow me to sing the famous poem by Robert Burns...
Let old acquaintances be forgot,
Like @KidCarnival and @ajwz brought to mind?
Let old acquaintances be forgot,
That leaves us with more wine!
CHORUS:
For cheap Aldi wine, my dear,
for old Aldi wine,
I've not nearly drunk enough yet,
fetch me old Aldi wine!
Dragonspear will come out oh so soon,
And the rascals will return!
I'll drink some more to celebrate,
Leftover Aldi wine!
No, This new years day from 7pm to 2am I worked security at mammal/the door gallery for the new years party. I had to check id's and anyone over 21 I stamped them on the hand, the stamp is what you have to show the bartender if you wish to purchase alcohol. Anyone under 21, I marked with a X which signified legally underage, so selling alcohol to them is a no no.
Being the doorman, many people talk to you, ask you question and all that jazz, but I had people actually thanking me for helping them get drunk. You know, no matter how old they may look, if I don't stamp your hand/wrist/arm then the bartender will not service you. It was a free event so anyone could just walk in
Its funny, the place is a art gallery but it has two floors, the ground floor is usually for party and events, the second floor is for art shows. The second floor was off limits, but people were still trying to get up there thinking that there as more dancing going on up there. Then there were the people who kept asking me "What is this place, some kind of club?" Which makes me wonder how often do some people actually come to galleries that aren't in some stupid mall.
Last year I've posted my resolutions on this forums. There were 6 of them. 3 I've completed, one I am not sure about (I wanted an intership in coaching company. After all, didn't had my intership there, but I still managed to train some competences I hoped for). 2 points however turned to be failure. I still learned something through that though.
Just saying.
In Sweden we also have a greeting we say after new year's which is translated to "happy continuation", so Happy Continuation everyone
Btw, @Montresor_SP, are you swedish as well or is just that both our contries like that scene? I must have seen it 20 times in the last 34 years, hehe..
And of course the first hours of the new year are very traditional - a few minutes' live footage of a crowd of drunk people cheering and shooting fireworks in Copenhagen's Town Hall Square, then the Danish TV's choir singing New Year's songs and the national anthems (we have two!), and then the midnight mass.
Apparently the Dinner for One/90-Year Birthday sketch is popular in many countries, except for the English-speaking ones: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinner_for_One#International_broadcasts
