@dreamtraveler Untold numbers of men and women, much wiser than myself, have attempted to answer this very question. Rather like the question, “What can change the nature of a man?” or republican or democrat, or pancakes or waffles, sometimes it is just safer to keep ones opinion to oneself.

Badges, of course! He dearly loves the things. This accounts for the times in history that there seems to have been so much more evil loose in the world than at other times. When the big chalkboard in the sky shows that he is close to earning another badge, he is inspired to rekindle his efforts in order to possess that shinny new pretty.

I like the idea that this is my place, as it were, just as my wife has places online that are hers. Not that I’m keeping secrets or looking to shag anyone, it’s just nice to have a spot I can go to and relax.
