When I'm stressed out, I usually go for a drive and listen to some relaxing music. Recently, I've found a little genre of music called "lofi hip hop" that really helps soothe the soul. It's basically just very relaxing music with a simple percussion track. There's an ongoing livestream on Youtube where they just continuously play these songs, repeating the playlist when it ends. It's great stuff, and I would highly recommend checking it out.
Just because she wanted him to be happy when she was gone.
Damnit.. I shouldn't browse this place at work anymore and I really shouldn't read stuff like this. I had to run off to the bathroom to cry a bit. It's so sad and beautiful at the same time.
"Two muffins in a pan in the oven, one looks to the other and says, "Boy, it sure is hot in here." The second muffin says, "Holy S**T! A TALKING MUFFIN!"

As silly as those are, several of them gave me a chuckle. Sometimes, just being silly is soul-lifting.

Oh no, that joke has finally proliferated. I have a friend who thinks that muffin joke is the height of comedy, I have had to listen to it since the 4th grade. I thought it was an isolated incident, we are doomed...
Forgetting the struggles at work by starting up two new BGIIEE campaigns, escaping from Irenicus dungeon again and generally forgetting everything about life for a whole weekend and just playing soothed my soul.
Simple pleasures seem to be some of the most soothing.
Given my night-time lifetsyle, up a little before sunset and bed a little after, I particularly enjoy seeing the transitions periods between darkness and light. Especially so as it is during these times life is at a slower pace for me. I always find these times somewhat 'magical' in their beauty. I suppose similar to the transitions of the seasons, esp the end of fall, with the spicy scent of leaves freshly fallen to the ground.
I enjoyed coastal living but it is the mountains that do it for me the most I think. It does not hurt having a small cave just above the house about a hundred yards up the mountain as well to sit a spell.
I enjoy sitting on the porch watching the moon setting over the next mountain, and in this pic, the sun setting behind it as well. My churchwarden filled with a nice Cavendish and a good dark coffee with a little rum, it is soothing (oh, and bite of nice dark chocolate afterwards).
Up on the mountain it is quiet and peaceful, so when the critters up at that time are most active, that is about the only sound of the living to hear. The hoot of the owl and the rustle of the possum in the leaves below is relaxing.
I am not looking forward to the prospect of potentially having to move back down to the 'flatlands'. To the land of the heavy traffic and crowed streets. The last time I 'came down the mountain', after being away for a while the difference was amazingly apparent and I could not wait to get back home.
Everywhere can have a certain appeal though, I suppose, if only we pay attention and notice long enough.
Finally got my annual bonus, maybe for the last time since the company was bought, but a serious monitor upgrade was in order. I ordered Friday night at 10:45pm and Amazon delivered on Sunday at 12pm. No Amazon Prime, without a 2 day shipping charge.
1 inch physically wider, but 3 inches bigger diagonally. The thin bezels are a major MAJOR improvement. Both bezels together in the middle are less than half the size of either of the prior ones.
Matched set of thin bezel (2.5mm !!!) 24" monitors.
@Shandyr Yeah, good to know sometimes that not everyone is just standing/ driving around being a rubbernecker with a camera phone, just trying to get it on 'film'.

Me: "What do you want to eat? Do you want a banana?"
Him: "Buhnyana?"
Me: "Would you like a banana?"
Him: "I wan buhnyana!"
Me: "I'll get you a banana."
Him: "Buhnyana!"
Me: "Yaaay!"
Him: "Yaaay..."
*Man in the movie gives a feather to a woman
*Woman smiles
Me: "B*tches are suckers for feathers."
Mom: "Yeah..."

Only two more days 'til I leave this fantasy world and go back home.

I was greeted by this simple email from my son this morning.
Hey! I love you! That is all! :-)
A simple, unexpected, loving gift and my soul is full.
(Now all you young’uns go call your mother!!! )
Why couldn't the turtle finish his test?
Because he was SLOW
The cube looks even cuter in reality~

Thanks @Shandyr. One needs this kind of nice videos every now and then in between liveleaks, heh..
