Tresset's blind run of PST:EE (ABSOLUTELY NO SPOILERS ALLOWED (except coming from me, that is)!)

Hey everyone! I have been planning for about a week now to do my first ever run of Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition and to summarize and record my experience here on the forums. This will be the first time that I have ever played ANY version of PS:T, so I will be stumbling through it completely blind. As such, I must insist that NO ONE IS TO POST ANY SPOILERS HERE so as not to ruin this experience for me (not even small ones). Also try not to give me any help or advice unless I ask for it. I plan to start playing PST:EE as soon as it is released to the public some time tomorrow and will try to keep this thread up to date. I hope everyone here enjoys my adventure!
Now I suppose there are a few things that I have heard and seen here or there in my time on the forums, but it is honestly very little. Here is what I know so far about the game:
1. There is apparently a question asked in the game that has some importance: "What can change the nature of a man?" I have seen an image of this question and a plethora of dialog options that can be given in response, but I have no idea what any of it means.
2. There is apparently a character named Morte who is a floating skull. I think I recall hearing that he is funny, but I know little else about him.
3. There are artifacts that appear in BG2 that are based on this game. I know little more about these artifacts than their relevance to BG2.
4. I have been told that the story in this game is VERY good.
5. The setting for this game is apparently 'the planes'; meaning probably Sigil and several other planes. I don't know if there is any visit to the prime material plane or not, but I somewhat doubt it.
6. Most of the rest of what I know comes from general lore from playing other Forgotten Realms games like BG and NWN. I don't know too much about how much of this will come into play in PS:T.
This is pretty much all I know about PS:T before having started playing.

2. The Invincible Demonic Talking Skull.
3. The artifacts were not in vanilla BG2. They were added as bonus content.
4. Of course.
5. Spoiler alert.
6. Don't forget Fallout 2.
A small request, based on @Shandyr advice.
Tell us every little thing you do (or not do) and why.
It's going to be a lot of fun for us too!
@Tresset won't be allowed to read it until he finishes PSTEE
Following this I tweaked my options. Now to create a life.
P.S. The menu options are funny.
Where did you put that 21 points?
Hoping to become a mage or whatever so max intelligence. It also appears that this guy is always the leader and the only guy who gets to talk so I went for max charisma too. Wisdom sounds nice too for bonus experience, but less important than int and cha. My thoughts behind doing this are mainly that I am going for being a great leader good at dialog. Charisma must be important for this, and the intelligence description says it gives bonus dialog options. If I manage to be a great mage too because of these choices, so much the better!
From what I have seen so far of the game it appears as though alignment is malleable, so I will have to be careful of my dialog choices I guess... In my experimental starts I pushed virtually all the buttons I could find so as to learn more. I can already tell I am going to like Morte. He seems quite funny! A master of eyeball profanity... Lol! Now then... Lets see if I can advance farther than the first room with this character...
Morte seems very nervous about talking to people. Seems quite cautious and uneasy, at least in this Mortuary.
Learning about me, I seem to be some kind of influential person who is constantly dying for some reason... I also appear to lead others to their death with my influence... Not sure what to make of this at the moment.
In other news I found an earring from a magical paper in a zombie mouth. I also found my first fetch quest. I may take a break for now, or I may keep playing. Not sure...
I too am very interested in the experience of Tresset and would like to make sure he and others get the opportunity to play totally un-influenced.
Just so everyone here knows a bit about my play style: I reload... A lot... It is mostly to experiment with various things and see what will happen if I do things differently for various encounters.
Now then: I continued my adventures in the Mortuary. I found a spy in disguise as a zombie and decided to try to lie to him about replacing him for... whatever he was doing... He gave me his stuff and I pumped him for info, after which I had him disguise me as a zombie so I could run (or rather NOT run, or even walk at a moderately decent speed) around with Morte undetected. (I had previously gone up to the third floor and gotten busted by a 'dusty' before reloading, so I figured this disguise could help me.) I watched a blind and deaf tiefling work on a 'shell' and gained a memory of hiding something in a corpse in some previous life (yay!).
I then headed up to the third floor and poked around a bit, looting as I went and examining zombies and skeletons. I found the skeleton that I remembered from watching the tiefling work and did some stuff to access what appeared to be a 'breastbone of holding', so to speak. I also found several notes, one about the skeleton I had been hiding stuff in, and one about a crowbar or something (which I had looted earlier)... One of the notes was in a skeleton's skull, but I forget which one... I also found a zombie that had some marking on its head, I figured it had something to do with a closed earring I found earlier (I kinda forgot to examine the earring to act upon this knowledge before I decided to stop playing for the moment; it is first on my list of things to do when I continue). I found a few keys that seemed to open some doors, but I have no idea which keys opened what doors... Perhaps I will find out in a future run... After this I found some items that allowed me to finish the fetch quest given to me by the Helen Keller of tieflings and she did some stichwork on me that apparently upped my HP by 1 permanently (cool).
Next I moved on to the first floor. I found a zombie and relieved it of a tome it had. I then found some giant skeletons that were in the middle room of the place. After examining one of them I found I was able to destroy it by tracing wards or something. Got what appears to be a spell scro... er, a spell breastplate... by doing this. I then continued looking around until I found an arch which I assume was the one mentioned by the spy I pumped for info earlier. Some kind of portal started shimmering there. I decided to ignore it for now to explore more. In the same room I found a tomb and moving Mr. Nameless close to it I was able to speak to a ghost of a woman who apparently loved me... and who I apparently loved as well... I assume that this is the one Dhaal mentioned earlier. I was able to remember a special ability (Raise Dead, I believe) by talking to her. She also spoke of my future challenges and what I must do and something about a blessing and a curse on me; which is apparently my inability to die... (I must admit, if this game is a quest to die... I am not sure I like that, but we shall see how it plays out.) I then resumed my adventure. I noticed a dustman who had a unique name wandering around, but decided not to talk to him... At least not yet... Don't want to ruin my disguise, after all. Decided to return to the giant skeletons and decided to try a different approach... Tried to take its head off so Morte could have it. I died (oops) and reloaded. I then destroyed the other three skeletons and got three more spell breastplates. Decided it was time to save and quit for now.
Edit: by the way, Both Morte and Nameless had leveled up during all this and I decided to put an attribute point into Nameless's intelligence.
As you realized, you alignment will be affected by your choiches.
I wonder if you are willing to reach a certain alignmenet and so you're acting for that goal, or if you are simply making decisions each time you have to, and see what happens.
Another thing that occurred to me is that I am avoiding fights by being disguised. I am wondering if I may be missing out on XP and loot by doing this, but I will keep it up for now.
As for the spy guy, I was truthful with him the first time I met him but I thought I would try to lie to him when I reloaded to see what would happen. I wasn't thinking much about the morality of it at the time, I just kinda liked the result so I went with it.
And you are right, they are slowly changing in the background, but eventually you'll see some results.
I found two exits to the mortuary. Persuade whats-his-name to open the gate for me or go through the portal. These both lead to the same place. Outside I see tons of stuff... so much that I don't know how to go about doing it all. I experimented with talking to some people and I found out some stuff. Some things I have learned:
Annah appears to be important... She has special music play around her and unique voice acting. Right-clicking on her results in SELECTION SOUNDS!!! A party member most likely! She doesn't seem to want to join right now though...
Some crazy girl is running around afraid of portals. I feel as though I should help her.
Don't stand too close to thugs...
I got cussed out by a prostitute. Morte seemed interested in this... I wonder if he gets stronger somehow by collecting curses...
Found an old lady... She also cussed me out. It was quite funny though...
Signpost zombie... seems to know where everything is... Including Pharod... Underground maybe? Had a cobblestone in its head... Someone mentioned that a cobblestone could be a portal key. I wonder...
Pox, I recognize this name from the torn logbook page. Strange individual, hai.
The people here explain things about portals... They way they talk it sounds like a rousing game of 'Sigil Roulette'. This concept is somewhat thrilling to me... Genuinely exited for it!
Also when I leave the Mortuary some kind of ghosts swarm around my slab... This is somewhat worrying to me. They don't look too friendly...
Note: I quit without saving after exiting the Mortuary. I will decide on a concrete way to proceed after some experimentation.
Question: Is there a good place I can stash crap? Do things vanish if they are not placed in containers? Go ahead and answer the second question. If yes, I will probably stash things back in the mortuary or somewhere...
