A scroll of Wraithform just dropped from the Prat encounter under Candlekeep. Don't know if this is random or guaranteed. I've never seen one before, but there's a thread on the "fixed" forum about them.
Same deal. Got one now from Prat but never before. I guess it's something we can count on.
Thief/Illusionists, Fighter/Illusionists and Cleric/Illusionists are all pretty tasty from a powergaming perspective @Oxford_Guy.
They're the only specialist mage multiclass out there, and honestly they don't lose out on too much. The biggest drawback (from losing necromancy) is loss of Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting and possibly Animate Dead in BG2 and you should really have a pure/dual caster for this in addition to your multiclass anyway. The Cleric/Illusionist loses least, as many arcane necromancy spells have a divine equivalent which they are not barred from.
There is a remove magic scroll in the inventory of one of the 4 red wizards east of the temple area (the area I'm talking about used to be the area east of larswood on the old map).
I'm kinda sad there is ony one magical katana ingame, but at least there is one. and its only takes a little over half the game to get to it...
*bangs head on desk*
Don't they have a warning written in the proficiency description for katanas? Doesn't it say "WARNING: Magical katanas are very rare in Baldur's Gate!"
I don't mind waiting for the Celestial Fury katana in BGEE2... as long as I can now pickpocket Drizzt to get both of his scimitars in BGEE! (before we could get only one without killing him)
A guy that looks like a bandit standing around in the Blades and Stars Inn in the SE section of Baldur's Gate also drops a Longsword +1 Harrower if you kill him (no loss of rep).

It's on the corpse of the Red Wizard during Neera's quest

While I feel your pain, you were fairly warned.
