Doesn't mean it's not a reference. Doesn't have to be the same Corwin, and for all we know they might've named CHARNAME Corwin in that playthrough for the lulz. I mean, we already know we're going to Dragonspear, or at least I am sure we are - the hints leading to that is piling up, after all.
@Dee - Are you still giving out Clairvoyance badges for correct guesses? :v
@booinyoureyes - It's mentioned in several dialogues, I believe, and there was the curious addition of a guard at the northwest route out of BG (which previously weren't accessible on the map), though I can't remember what that dude said. So yeah, circumstantial evidence, but it points towards Dragonspear being the setting for the expansion.
Allthough the guardsman dialogue doesn't appear yo be hinting at anything, unfortunately, and this might not have amyyhing to do with Adventure Y. Sorry for leading yku astray folks, please don't take away my cookies
I go away for a mere two days and what do I find when coming back? 40 new posts here. The first thought: "Ohh yeaaah, must be something new revealed..."
AND WHAT DO I FIND ACTUALLY?! That the Adventure Y will bring the 30th of February into our world through the shifty door of Sorcerous Sundries that looks like a portal to the Dragonspear Castle.... Aghh... I try to understand that but can't...
...but... Wait! I see it. You're a smart one! Now I can understand. What if that door is called shifty because of spapeshifters, I mean, werebears 0_0
I now see it was a good thing I didn't mention May 35th...
Do you mean the June 4, 1989 Incident in China with Tiananmen Square protests or "The 35th of May, or Conrad's Ride to the South Seas", a novel by Erich Kastner, in which the characters enter a wardrobe in the hallway and end up in other lands with castles and such?
Here's what I think Adventure Y will be about: The Nashkel Mines have expanded to the point where excavations are undermining Nashkel, threatening the collapse of the town. Your job: Alert the population and oversee the moving of the entire town two miles to the east.

Just noticed this -- in that tweet Oster confirmed that the infinity engine will be retired. Sad -- hope this company sells it to someone else and that someone else gets the rights to make new adventures.
Worth noting: the Infinity Engine is an engine, not a game. Even if we do retire the Infinity Engine, that does not necessarily mean an end to Infinity Engine-style games.
But I'm guessing it does mean that IWD2 and PS:T are not planned to be enhanced in the foreseeable future, since both of those games use the Infinity Engine.

Maybe, it could mean that since these games require such large changes to the IE that beamdog decided to just make a new engine from scratch instead of mess with the IE again. But somehow I don't think this is the case...

Well, Trent's got a lot on his mind. I suppose it's possible he forgot about Adventure Y. Those of us who've been working on it for the better part of a year certainly haven't.
Seeing as there seems to be some confusion on the matter: to the best of my knowledge, Adventure Y is A Thing That Is Definitely Happening.

**That's July 2012
Nah, too crazy. That kind of thing would never happen in real life. ;-)
