Have you noticed how effective s potion of invisibility is combined with cloudkill. Take the cloudkill spell triggered when you take on the four warders in Durlag's Tower. If you run into the centre of the cloud and take a potion of invisibility, you will be followed into the cloud. This naturally hurts the warders that follow you in there, but it also causes those warders to attack the one who cast the spell. You can then wait the battle out, or if you want the experience use the necklace of missiles when the warders are near death.
Clearly a similar tactic can be used if a party member has cast the spell, but in that case they wouldn't attack each other.
Traps tend to use variants of normal spells. A lot of mods change spell effects, but they seldom ever change traps. While a Finger of Death in Spell Revisions uses a save vs. death, a Finger of Death trap will still probably use a save vs. spell.
Similar to my post above, a potion of invisibility can be used in the final Sarevok battle if the arrows of detonation have been used against you. If other enemies have been hurt by those arrows, going invisible will cause them to attack each other.
Did you know that potion of invulnerability doesn't fix your AC at 0, but lowers your base AC, allowing you to achieve lower AC? It's nice thing to learn after 10 years of playing Baldur's Gate.
Planescape: Torment is riddled with Easter eggs. Spoiler tags added as I don't know how many members have played the game.
The Festhall music is from Vivaldi's concerto for two oboes (RV 535).
When Dak'kon dies, one of Morte's possible comments is "Alas poor Dak'kon, I knew him well". (The original line from Shakespeare's Hamlet is, "Alas poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio!")
If you buy the Gorgon Salve - which is used to un-pretrify somebody - from Vrishika, she tells you that she bought it from a planar called Perseus. Yep - it was Perseus who defeated the Medusa.
One of the simple sensations in the public sensorium is that of a bug that wakes up to find that it has been transformed into a human being. Franz Kafka's "Metamorphosis" is about a man who wakes up one morning to find that he has been transformed into a bug.
One of the Chaosmen in the Tenement of Thugs says the words, "Written are the prophets of the halls on the words" – a somewhat mangled reference to Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" ("...The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls, and tenement halls...").
Fell the Dabus tattoo artist and Lothar the Master of Bones are actually canon parts of the Planescape setting, as is Burgher Tovus Giljaf of Curst.
In the Tenement of Thugs you can find barrels with Radioactive Material symbols on them – referring to the fact that several of the developers also worked on Fallout and Fallout 2 (for example, Chris Avellone was also lead designer on those games).
The developers must have been pretty fond of spelling things backwards:
"Nordom" has gone rogue, and so he is a backwards "Modron".
The scroll of "Enoll Eva" duplication that you find in the Modron Maze is (Chris) "Avellone" spelled backwards.
The magic word to activate the decanter of endless water is "nildenosaj" - I am guessing that "Jason Edlin" was one of the developers or maybe a friend of one of them.
That any simple fighter can have more HP than a dragon ? I found a funny exploit I didn't know of while buffing in the elevator before the final fight in SoD. If you drink a potion, save, then reload, your aura is now clear again. That means that, by doing this, you could put all your buffs in a single round, thus maximizing their duration !!
If you drink enough potions of Power, your HP goes through the roof !! The thac0 bonus doesn't stack, but the HP one does. Look at that HP... :
I don't know if it's a well known thing, but I think it's pretty cool. Your not tanking dragons anymore, they have to tank you !!!

Sadly doesn't work if you're playing a no-reload run though.
Well, you're not reloading, you're loading your game !! You don't go back in time, you simply continue from where you left off, albeit only a second later, but still...

I'd be uncomfortable doing it. What other people do is up to them.

If I'm not playing no-reload, I do it all the time, but if I am, I just live with my buffs running out and stuff. Honestly it doesn't net you much time, maybe around 30 seconds at best? But anyway, if you cast your buffs starting with the longest-lasting ones you usually win before they ran out (except for a few fights that don't happen in vanilla).

Not when you play on LoB...
Heh, but that never happens. I can't stand LoB for that very same reason. Killing enemies takes too long, and it's very easy to die again and again. It's a wonderful challenge indeed, but it's far more frustrating that no-reloading IMO.
I'm sure most know this but many new to the game (and how lucky they are) may not,

Does it make the Slayer Form useful for longer period? I forgot the mechanic on how it drains you.
Slayer form eventually hits you with 1500 magic damage. That is how it "kills" you (unless of course you can prevent that damage from happening to you).
Not after the most recent update. It now sets your magic damage resistance to 0 right before it hits you, making your damage resistance meaningless. It also bypasses Mirror Image, so that trick (discovered by @Arunsun?) won't work either.
The only way to survive it is to get (1) immunity to the damage opcode, (2) immunity to the magic damage resistance opcode, (3) have more than 1500 HP, or (4) have the minimum HP opcode active.
(1) is possible with (Greater) Shield of Lathander, a mod-only spell, or the Absolute Immunity spell from Spell Revisions. It may also be possible with Otiluke's Resilient Sphere.
(2) should not be possible. I've never seen any mod grant that immunity, though such a thing could be created.
(3) should only be possible using exploits, though I don't know what kind of trick that would entail. And if you can get 1500 HP, being able to prolong Slayer form doesn't add that much.
(4) is possible using the Spell Revisions version of Harm, though it's extremely hard to time. SR Harm prevents the target from dropping below 1 HP for a single second, and if you hit Charname with Harm in the same second that 1500 damage happens, Charname should survive it.
If you import Viconia from BGEE to SoD, while she is wearing helm of opposite alignment, she will transfer with the helm equipped, but her alignment will be set to Neutral Evil. When you remove the curse, Viconia will be Neutral Good all by herself.
I don't think it will work with Dorn since his equipment works differently.
You're talking about Elminster's icon? It is a burning wizard, but not from the Burning Wizard inn. That inn does not actually contain a burning wizard (nor does the Jovial Juggler inn contain a jovial juggler). The burning wizard in the icon can be found in a seedy tavern in Planescape Torment. You encounter a lot of weird people in Planescape Torment.

I think that you are confusing Natural with Neutral. Two words that look similar, but which have VERY different meanings. If you believe in "Original Sin" then all mankind is "Natural Evil," but I strongly suspect that you mean Neutral Evil which is completely different.

Actually according to "original sin" humans are naturally good to begin with, but were corrupted. So still basically good, but with a tendency towards selfish action.

Faldorn: The sanctity of these woods must be preserved.
Jaheira: If a tree falls in the forest, I'LL KILL THE BASTARD WHAT DONE IT!
Who's the real Shadow Druid?
I didn't realise that Jaheira couldn't speak English.
That's a new "did you know" to me.
She also voices Black Lily and Silke, plus Demin in Shadows of Amn and Melissan in Throne of Bhaal.
Melissan: "Greetings, mercenaries. I am Melissan, thespian extraordinaire."
...mostly.

The burning wizard tavern itself has its name because of the destruction of the school of Ulcaster (as it was burned to the ground)
